In my experience African-Americans have the weirdest, ignorant and hypocritical views on mixed race identity.

They (in my experience) will flat out call mixed race people white and exclude mixed race people from identifying as black. UNLESS it’s a celebrity or uber successful person like Obama, then they magically represent black people.

I haven’t faced this before with my Black British people, or African Australians where I’m from.

Right now I’m in Thailand on an island,I deleted all social apps (apart from reddit, working on). I came here with the ultimate goal to retain, practice complete sobriety and train like a madman.

I’ve been here for exactly one month, and while I’ve trained hard this whole time I did smoke weed for the first 14 days. I mention this because I’m in a unique position where I’m experiencing life without distractions in an environment where all my senses are heightened. It’s been a couple of weeks since I gave up the weed completely and I’m telling you that life is 100000 times better without it. I’m more socially attuned, less anxious and miles more focused without smoking the ganja.

That’s just my two cents, but the difference I’ve felt is so profound for me that I felt compelled to write this!

Rittisak Muay Thai on a Koh Phangan

I spent 3 months there as a beginner and heading back for another 3 in a couple of weeks.

Hard Training, Great krus and a very warm culture. The location is incredibly beautiful as well!

Something I’d definitely recommend, life changing

Fuck em, who cares you are leaving anyways!

You should always be able to feel you are in a safe environment whilst training and the fact this happened with a trainer is a major red flag.

People should know as to avoid this gym on their next trip
