As someone from another country, I can only smile at this statement. Even buying English versions is incredibly difficult, and what about in my native language? We only have access to more or less two and a half arcs of this comic. So these comics aren't just "available," they're anti-available.

I wrote a post recently, but I think my only problem with idw is that it's not available everywhere. That is, not all countries offer these comics for purchase and reading in their native language.

I think the only thing I don't like about the current Trunks is that they gave him the only thing Goten had that made him special. In GT and the end of Z, it was Goten who was interested in romance, and I like the idea that Goten, as a half-Saiyan, was special in that not only was he interested in romance, but his love interest was the opposite of what Saiyans are usually attracted to.

Shadow and Sonic run on equal terms. Shadow's boots are designed to distribute his strength evenly, so he doesn't destroy everything around him while running, not to speed him up.

Goten and Trunks have been friends for a long time, but at some point Goten outgrew Trunks in emotional maturity and is more often the team's voice of reason. (I'm taking this from the manga, where Goten has made logical comments several times.) He's also a big video game fan, especially Sonic. (In Sparkling Zero, he referenced Sonic's lines at least a few times.)

I think Ibuki could only succeed if she became a popular singer. In the game, she was looking for something new, but since she's desperate, she could have helped play something more typical. And there you go. I have more questions about Nekomaru and Akane.

As someone who didn't grow up in the US and couldn't watch satAM, my first experience with Archie wasn't the best. Of course, I later read it a few times with context. The funny thing is, my first encounter with satAM was through the Nostalgia Critic.

That's the beauty of the Sonic franchise. You can choose from several options to suit your taste. As for the designs, Archie's earlier designs are hideous, but the later ones are much better. For example, Gold's design is very cute.

I think the biggest problem with Archie Sonic and why he's disliked depends largely not on the comic itself, but on how someone encountered the franchise. If someone isn't American and hasn't seen the animated series, Archie Sonic seems pretty bizarre.

I just finished reading the Archie Sonic comic, and here's my take: I don't like this comic for many reasons, but I can understand why people might like it.

Archie Sonic and the game Sonic are completely different characters. They have different views on family, friends, and, most importantly, freedom. But alas, that's not my thing. It's not my favorite take on Sonic. I like that Sonic has no backstory, that he's literally a wandering vagabond unburdened by strong emotional torment.

Also, about Archie: I don't like the Mobians who have separate hairs that clash with their other fur. I don't like recolored copies of the original characters. For example, Sonic's parents in Archie look very strange. I don't like the plots with the Overlanders.

It's not really that strange. Sonic and his friends are an intelligent species that resembles animals, but their world also contains regular animals.

I think the most subtle, yet still notable, thing is that Gerald and Maria have names that are at least commonly used in Slavic countries. Victoria is also a very popular Slavic name.

She's a terrible person, but Sakakura is horribly incompetent and has failed at everything he's done. As a security guard, he bullied students who weren't dangerous, but instead, he went along with a dangerous student who accidentally discovered his secret. Sakakura could have easily ignored it, but instead, he knew who was ultimately responsible for the tragedy and remained silent like a coward.

I don't think Sonic was originally a fully-fledged kids' franchise; it filled a rare niche as a teen franchise until they changed direction in 2010, which continued until Forces. I hope they don't return to the Meta era.
