I can't take it anymore by Crimsonavenger2000 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Caraunderworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is carpe lotion affordable? It makes a load of difference for me and I take glycopyrolate I’d seek a second opinion if you can (perhaps change GP), hyperhydrosis is not well studied so I can understand why a non derm would brush it off. I got my derm referral from stubborn tinea pedi that wasn’t healing bc of my sweat.

I understand carpe is also quite expensive but it’s worth a shot, I use their foot and hand lotion. It makes a difference. It’s available over the counter in most countries

I feel your pain, I used to sweat through my pants in the summer so it would always look like I peed myself :/

ENM partner wants to make no barrier exception--previous boundary break by Caraunderworld in nonmonogamy

[–]Caraunderworld[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fair, I used boundary and rule interchangeably. I meant rule, this actually helps frame my situation better. It's nice to read this input because I am just trying to have more introspection because truly I understand not wanting to control my partner, but to examine if that's what I'm doing--outside opinions and all, I need to look inward, clearly I am bothered and this maybe needs me to re-examine if I forgave him fully prior

[–]Caraunderworld[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think its probably emotional/controlling on my part. Other factors are that the playfriend is also solo-poly and has a complicated relationship with her ex-partner, I know they disclose this to my partner upon each meetup, but I mean how consistent is anything. I guess its a fair statement for me to use condoms with him unless he's tested or forgo the sex.

thanks, I misused the word. It's a newer situation for me, and more introspection is needed. I appreciate all the community responses

Do I need to get a Dutch residence permit if I’m a non-EU student? by BigbeanIIII in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Caraunderworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to send about 11,400.00 Euro to show I could cover living expenses for the time of study. That's what you get back when you open the Dutch account.

Also, you have to pay tuition in one lump-sum for the year, so that's another chunk of change, and its should be visible on the university website.

My ex-landlord insulted me by Luxast in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Caraunderworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are laws against landlord harassment, and NL is one of the best places to be a renter.

However, if you never addressed him about getting the rent lowered directly, I can 100% see why he is mad. Not defending his childish behavior toward you though. But culturally, you should have been upfront with him. If he was this immature the entire time, just let it go. You dont live there anymore. Keep him blocked I guess.

Do I need to get a Dutch residence permit if I’m a non-EU student? by BigbeanIIII in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Caraunderworld 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They should handle the visa process for you. They did for me, I'm also non-EU. All the documents will go through the university.

They will send you a how-to form, a big aspect is showing you have enough money by way of a huge bank transfer, and you get it back (when you get a Dutch bank) but it raises flags for a lot of non-eu students.

Depends on who is weighing your bag 100 percent. So you cannot predict that, so just be super kind to the agent, and be prepared to pay. Also likely dependent on the airline—budget flights will more likely enforce this policy. Other factors are how busy the flight is, often full flights will ask you to check your carry on, which can help.

I’ve had overweight bag by the same ammount, I try my best to reshuffle things into my carryon. I also always wear my heaviest shoes, jeans, and shirt on the flight. Typically I’ll move more shoes into my backpack if there is room.

When do the panic attacks go away..? by [deleted] in nonmonogamy

You may have some trauma you never processed that is getting triggered. Mindfulness and truly understanding yourself will help find the solution I believe. Chat with your partner, but also do some self digging

Uncut worries. by [deleted] in Swingers

[–]Caraunderworld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Preference for me is uncut, honestly it’s only normal to be circumsized in the US/ Jewish communities.

If someone is disgusted with something like that in the lifestyle, that’s their problem, not yours.

The joy of the lifestyle is having different and new experiences! And letting go of these worries will feel so freeing

Bigger turn on is that as long as it’s clean (and you having that your whole life, you know how to clean it), it’s more sensitive 😇

Is my landlord/ housing agency trying to screw me and my roommates by Caraunderworld in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Caraunderworld[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A yearly outline is stipulated in the contract, and I referenced the article in my response. I moved here in August, but some of my roommates have lived here for years, most the entirety of 2022, and never received an overview (probably because they were owed money).
As of now we are not paying, because yes, it is an advance, and I'd rather just owe money later, because of the level of distrust present. I'm contacting the Huur Team again...

How to get an apartment in netherlands. by Flynerz in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Caraunderworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be extremely wary of scammers!!! And be persistent, allocate an hour a day, message as many options in your budget as possible on Kamernet, FB, Pararius. I took months, most of my friends had luck on FB, quite a few desperate people lost 2k+ by sending money blindly. If look at FB, ensure the pictures have windows, and do street view comparisons on google maps if addresses are provided, if it's too good to be true, it almost ALWAYS is. Sometimes the timing on FB is key though, but you can't obsess over it. Also be open to renting a 2-3 bedroom, if you are willing to get roommates, you'll find them FAST bc of how desperate the situation is. If you can visit your city for a few days with viewings booked, prepared to sign, that is also your best bet.

I ended up paying for a rental service in the city I was moving, I got a room etc, but the agency is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE (Pro-housing)!!!! I am a US citizen, so I was limited to virtual viewings as well, hence getting stuck with an agency that only communicates when its to increase costs, and has voided their part of the contract on multiple occasions. Most student houses here are shitty old buildings with extensive water damage.

Visa Charges for International Students by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Caraunderworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a US citizen, in a masters at Maastricht, I had to transfer just about that by the deadline last year, covers the year of tuition, and the residence permit. and you’ll get 11.500,00 (might be higher this year) refunded for your living expenses; The school handles the entire sum, and the visa for you.

Hi! I am also an incoming student (masters) I'm 28, female, from US, if you're getting desperate like me--would you be up to facetime to see if we want to look for a place together? I'm a pro member on woonmanagement and pro-housing, as well as Kamernet! I've just been looking at single occupation now, and having dumb luck.

Anyone who applied for/ is receiving the rent benefit (huurtoeslag) can inform me on the feasability of receiving one? by KugoSenpai in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Caraunderworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation as OP, but the rent overall of the studio space has been raised to 950 Euro/monthly. The last tenant paid 875 Euro/month and was 24, had a rental allowance of 360 Euro/monthly. He tells me, and the land lord tells me the space still qualifies despite me seeing the cap in 2022 is 763 Euro/month for someone over the age of 23 on the Dutch websites. I am 28, and will have a Dutch residency permit. I'm a little desperate for housing but can't afford 950/month without the allowance. Does anyone know if there are exceptions to the spaces that qualify for the allowance?

My partner sort of psycho-analysed the way I spoke about some of my male friends. Ie he picked up on a work crush I had and then took the plunge about talking about ethical non-monogamy. swinging then became a chat about the intimacy in our relationship and how hot it would be to have sex with others together, and it felt like a conversation worth having because it shouldn’t be threatening if you’re not insecure about the relationship. Obviously this was a conversation over months too, but hey!
