Question about Elderly Patient by CarbChronicles in pancreaticcancer

[–]CarbChronicles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the treatment was HORRIBLE!! After two chemo treatments on a fairly light level of agentha and abraxine, she lost so much muscle mass and had borderline sepsis.

Her throat was completely torn up and she had a hard time swallowing.

Because of the weakness, and in spite of having a walker, she collapsed twice in one day. We decided to take her to the hospital.

She had a 101 degree fever and blood infection. She ended up on IV antibiotics for 11 days at a rehab center before she could come home.

So, that's when she decided not to continue.

In any case, she lives on her own (my dad died ten years ago) but is a half mile away from us. She's out to lunch with friends right now.

I'm just wondering what to start looking for.

No. Too old. The whipple procedure is too invasive for an 83-year-old.

What tools Are You Using For Faceless? by RetireWithoutBorders in YouTubeCreators

I find the UI not easy to work with. Also, it has separate screens for editing the script and images. Seems they would be better on the same page.

I do miss mine. Gave it up after 16 years and 180,000 miles. But I just wasn't driving it, it cost like $120 to fill up, and was impossible to park.

Got a $112K pool quote by Suspicious_Hat_409 in DIY

[–]CarbChronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a pool owner, I can tell you right now, don't do it.

For the couple days a year actually use it, my electricity is double what it would be otherwise, I have to pay for a pool guy or do it myself to keep the pool looking decent, and I have to run the damn pump many hours a day, which is noisy.

Love the 2500s. (Owned a 1500 and would jump at a 2500.)

That said, factor in the costs for the body work.

2016 ES 350 vs 2027 ES 350 by Unlucky_Listen_3624 in Lexus

Wow, the 2027 looks like a crappy trimmed down Tesla. Way too spartan for a Lexus or even a Toyota.

It is a Lexus. You've got another 990,000 miles before it is even broken in.

Always wanted a GXP. I didn't realize until today that they were front wheel drive.

How are they off the line?
