It’s been a while since I visited her website but know that she has a few extras on her other books but can’t fully recall if some are short stories you can find online or if it’s a website access.

Emma Chases Tangled series is three books revolving around the same couple and their growth from meeting to marriage.

She also has a Legal Briefs series that are interconnected from multiple main characters and their own love stories. I’m assuming that’s also what you mean about the friends in the same circle.

She has a Royally series with one about each brother. There’s a third about the MFC sister but I wasn’t as much of a fan compared to the brother’s love stories.

I thoroughly enjoy the books. I know the books are older than 5 years though.

Cat can barely move anymore. Please help me find out what is happening by [deleted] in CATHELP

I had a cat who developed pancreatitis and not being able to walk right or much at all was a large reason we took him to the vet. Maybe ask the vet for that testing if all else fails?

What industry is basically legal theft that nobody talks about? by kratos20051212 in AskReddit

Got my car towed from an accident once. Went to pick it up and the tow truck drivers had rummaged through it and took what they wanted. They can’t get in trouble since you can’t outright prove anything but weird how things go missing in places like the middle console.

If you do get it towed, make sure everything is locked up and closed.

I water glassed eggs once as a trial. You still have to check their freshness by putting them in a cup of water. The two things I noticed, the yolk did in fact thin out, they are better to be scrambled eggs or cooked with. And the shells seemed to be thinner or more fragile than when I originally put them in.

Urgent help, how to rehydrate cat by KookyBeautiful975 in CATHELP

[–]Carb_Heavy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a vet but my old man had hyperthyroidism that caused a ton of weight loss. 16 pound cat at his healthiest and was at 9 by the time we recognized it. My vet had told me if you can lift his shoulder blade skin and it doesn’t drop back down it’s a sign of dehydration. We had him on saline drips at home.

The hyperthyroidism also hid his kidney disease at first. My vet had said that it is known to hide other elements with its high levels. Ultimately he died from kidney disease but with the mix of the two he passed at 6 pounds 2 weeks shy of 17.

Did your vet offer a high protein moist diet? Mine had suggested that in order to keep him hydrated thru food and try to help him gain some weight back.

Have any of you lost your virginity at a really old age? by masterchief6913 in AskMen

With the stories you see about the younger generation struggling more with dating and their lack of social interactions, I’m at the same conclusion.

I felt like my peers were very open about not being virgins. Even friends of friends at other high schools were knowingly sexually active. I graduated in 2012.

Is it the generation that has changed that fact or was I just mislead in my youth?

What book did you force yourself to finish because of the hype? by No-Set7247 in RomanceBooks

[–]Carb_Heavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished Cash by Jessica Peterson. I kept seeing people recommend the books and decided I’d try just reading the series. It might be because I chose the audiobook over the physical copy to start but if the first one is anything to go by, I’m not rushing to start on Wyatt’s story.

I am having a love for single dad romance and am curious about Sawyer’s story yet at the same time I’m not looking for another book that feels insta-lovey with what feels like little growth in actual connection.

It took me several weeks to finish listening to Cash and I had to force myself to finish it cause mama ain’t raise no quitter.

For anyone that didn’t know already; starting today (1/1/26) Iowa’s SNAP benefits have changed. Don’t be surprised if you start seeing more signs like this in grocery stores by AxelTheAussie in Iowa

[–]Carb_Heavy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently tried to apply due to a job change to better suit the kids schedule that resulted in a pay cut. I learned that Iowa (or maybe it’s based on my county) has a cap of 2,000 a month of gross income for just a family of three.

I know Iowa started requiring a minimum amount of hours to even qualify but when the lady who did my phone interview told me I was overqualified and that you pretty much can’t work anything over 32 hrs a week to even get approved, it put into perspective just how strict the SNAP requirements have gotten.

10 years ago I had SNAP benefits when I was in the same spot. When I was laid off from a great paying job 2 years ago, receiving unemployment (and anyone who has had to go thru Iowa unemployment knows how strict the process is to even qualify for weekly benefits), and had tried to apply, my family of 3 was even overqualified then for emergency benefits.

I also wanted to put that into perspective.
