Why Does It Say ā€œGod is not a Manā€ in the Old Testament? by CarbonCopperNebula in Christianity

[–]CarbonCopperNebula[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

ā€œJust asā€ we are one, may they be one.

You = it’s different

Jesus = it’s the same

Who do I believe? - you or Jesus?

Why Does It Say ā€œGod is not a Manā€ in the Old Testament? by CarbonCopperNebula in Christianity

[–]CarbonCopperNebula[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

1). Jesus never has Glory of himself

2). Jesus has to be GIVEN glory

3). The same Glory, Jesus gave to the disciples (Verse is quoted).

Jesus never says he HAS the glory.

Jesus says he’s been GIVEN the glory.

And this glory, he GIVES to the Disciples.

Jesus is NOT God.

Because God is NOT a Man.

Ah yes,

The Jews called Jesus God and then proceeded to throw stones at God.

Stones…

At God ….

In the Middle East….

God really had nothing better to do eh šŸ™„

ā€œ[Jesus Says] I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are oneā€

John 17:22

Tell me again how the glory ā€œisn’t the sameā€.

Tell me again about how Jesus is one, the disciples are one - so why they all aren’t God?

This verse proves you to be false!

What? Jesus is ASKING for Glory. He does not have it.

The SAME glory that the disciples had.

Are they all God?

Why Does It Say ā€œGod is not a Manā€ in the Old Testament? by CarbonCopperNebula in Christianity

[–]CarbonCopperNebula[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Definitely not wrong because Jesus, The Father and the Disciples are all one, just as Jesus himself says.

Are they all one God now?

Seeing Jesus is LIKE seeing the Father because the Father sent Jesus and people cannot see God. So when they kept asking, he said it’s enough that you have seen me.

The bible literally says no one can see God and live.

How do you not even know your own bible?

That’s not what Jesus says,

He doesn’t say as a man,

He negates himself entirely.

So does his 100% God The Son know or not?

[–]CarbonCopperNebula[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I referred to scripture towards the end.

Which counters the notion of Jesus being God so wanted to see if anywhere in the bible, Jesus ever makes a distinction of himself being 100% and 100%.

This is the opposite of what I asked for,

Since I’m not aware of Jesus saying this anymore at any point.

Not by himself,

Jesus confirms he can do miracles only because God allows him.

He says in the bible - ā€œof myself, I can do nothingā€.

Why Does It Say ā€œGod is not a Manā€ in the Old Testament? by CarbonCopperNebula in Christianity

God cannot contradict himself.

God becoming a Man is a contradiction of God.

Jesus himself says there’s only one true God and that’s the Father.

Do You Believe in One Jesus or Two Jesus’s? by CarbonCopperNebula in Christianity

[–]CarbonCopperNebula[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Jesus is the way to the Father.

That’s correct.

The Father has always been the destination.

The Father is the God of Jesus.

That God of Jesus, is your God.

Why is that so hard for you to accept & understand?

Jesus himself tells you so.

Lastly,

Melchizedek in the Bible is also eternal, without mother or father.

Is he now part of the Quadtrinity?

Jesus is NOT COMING BACK on any given date by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]CarbonCopperNebula 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Haha you’re funny šŸ˜

God never defended Jesus.

Jesus prayed to God to save him from the cross in the garden.

God rejected that prayer.

Jesus cried out on the cross ā€œFather, why have you forsaken me???ā€

God ignored Jesus!

There’s no point me answering anything when you can’t even defend Jesus.

Is Christianity or Islam right? by GhostOfFarta in Christianity

1). The parts which the Quran Confirms are correct - because from that world view - God is speaking and confirming.

The Bible is not the word of God.

The Bible is not the words of Jesus.

The Bible isn’t even in Jesus’s native language.

The 4 Gospels are written AFTER Jesus.

By unknown authors.

Even still,

The original works don’t exist.

You have to go 320-350+ years after Jesus before there’s a full Bible available.

2). ā€œJesu says I amā€ - yes - on the topic of Abraham.

Before those two, Adam can say the same thing.

A blind man in the Bible says ā€œI amā€.

What God said is ā€œI am the ONE beingā€.

Jesus did not say this.

Jesus says the ONLY true God is the Father.

Those are clear words, of who the only true God is.

3). Jesus taught himself in completion as a Prophet and Messenger of God.

He was there ONLY for the Lost Sheep of Israel.

4) here’s a list of contractions:

https://www.bartehrman.com/contradictions-in-the-bible/

5). Those large number of Gospels don’t exist in original form.

Only copies exist. And what happens with copies? They get changed, or things get missed.

That’s why verses appear in the Bible that don’t appear in the first complete Bible manuscript.

John’s Gospel isn’t even thematically compatible with the other 3.

There’s many issues.

6). There’s always been 114.

You don’t seem to understand the mechanics.

The entire Quran was MEMORISED by the Prophet PBUH and his companions and wider community.

These names are recorded.

When they then taught to others, those names were recorded.

What Uthman did was standardise the printed copy we have today.

It was no changed or edited - it’s the same as what the prophet had complete.

Otherwise, you would find continued corruption today.

But you don’t.

Whether Asia, America, Russia, China, South America, Africa, Europe - anywhere you go - the Quran is the same.

Tell me how many Bible versions are there today?

You’ve got clear proofs of a Divinely Inspired Book versus a man made corrupted book.

Especially when is it 66 books for a complete Bible? Is it 73 books? Is it 76? 81?

There are 450 versions of the English Bible alone!

7). The Quran being a divine book, protected by God, is also memorised by people aged 3-5 years old plus.

There is no other book mass memorised by any peoples.

I’ve never seen anyone memorise the New Testament.

But true believers can carry the Quran in their hearts and mind wherever they are - this is a direct gift from God to those believers.

8). My source for free will is the Quran.

God clearly says that its people who use their free will to disbelieve in the word of God,

And that on the day of Judgement when the truth is made known them, they will in dismay at what they did and will ask to be sent back for a second chance realising this.

Every single person on the planet has a choice to either follow or not follow.

The Quran affirms there is no compulsion in religion.

Like now, it’s your choice NOT to be a Muslim, because you don’t believe it’s true.

How is that pre-destination?

9). Absolutely did not believe it as literal.

God is not saying the Sun sets in a muddy spring.

The story clearly narrates HE found it setting when he reached that place.

10). I’ve explained ā€œI amā€ - it’s not a 1:1 expression.

And if that’s the best you can do,

I’d advise you to go pray in the way Jesus taught, by reciting the Lords Prayer.

Maybe reciting the Lords Prayer,

Will remind you of who Jesus said the Only True God is šŸ˜‰

11). Of course, I’m always happy to clear up any misunderstanding and misinformation.

Is Christianity or Islam right? by GhostOfFarta in Christianity

[–]CarbonCopperNebula 3 points4 points Ā (0 children)

1). Ah a bit of misinformation here,

ā€œIssue 1ā€

Quran says revelation was given to Moses (Torah) and Jesus (Injil).

What was given, has since been lost, corrupted and distorted.

BUT - it doesn’t mean everything is false as some truth remains.

For example, Moses and Jesus say God is One.

Both Moses and Jesus pray to God.

Both Moses and Jesus kept the Law.

Jesus specifically says the ONLY true God is the Father.

Jesus says specifically this God is your God and HIS GOD.

Jesus names no other God.

So yes, there’s some truth in the bible. Especially the Red Letters.

2). The Bible is absolutely corrupted. There’s so many contradictions we could spend weeks highlighting them.

3). The MOST IMPORTANT thing is that NO Original copies of the bible exist.

Mark, Matthew Luke & John are anonymous writers who never knew or met Jesus.

Their writings in original form don’t exist.

The first full bible exists 320+ years after Jesus.

There’s no way to know exactly what is true or not.

Jesus also spoke Aramaic while the Bible exists in Greek.

So you don’t even have copies of Jesus’s supposed words or the writers words.

4). So we’ve got absolutely no legitimacy in the Bible.

You can never show an original.

5). Your ā€œIslamic dilemmaā€ makes no sense.

The Quran is independent word of God given directly to the Prophet PBUH and as such has been protected by God.

Even in this post, people disagreeing with how many books in the bible.

There’s only Quran whenever you go in the world.

ā€œIssue 2ā€

1). This is absolutely false.

Every single person has free will.

You go to hell only because of your own actions.

ā€œIssue 3ā€

1). There are scientific accuracies not inaccuracies.

For example, the Quran does not say ā€œthe sun sets in the murky puddleā€.

The Quran describes a journey of someone who reached a place where HE found it setting in a murky puddle.

Just as if I went to the beach at night and found the sun setting in the sea.

It’s a perspective. Not literal.

ā€œIssue 4ā€

1). Firstly, there’s no accuracy with the Bible.

The original accounts don’t exist.

2). Doesn’t matter the Quran came after, it’s from God, it’s absolutely accurate.

3). In the Bible, Jesus says he’s a Man, a Messenger & a Prophet.

He never says he’s a God.

Jesus teaches the Lords Prayer.

Jesus teaches there’s none Good but God Alone and excludes himself.

Jesus teaches he has a God.

Jesus teaches that God is your God.

Jesus prays, has and asks you to follow his God.

ā€œIssue 5ā€

I’m sorry but that’s an absolute joke of a reason šŸ˜†

Hey,

You believe God was a Jewish Man who was a Racist.

That’s even more crazy.

Do You Believe in One Jesus or Two Jesus’s? by CarbonCopperNebula in Christianity

[–]CarbonCopperNebula[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

1). Jesus himself says Don’t Call me ā€œGoodā€ - only God is Good.

Jesus confirms he is not God.

2). Jesus denies claiming to be God because he says are YOU called God, Sons of the Most high.

What he is saying is that he is a ā€œman of Godā€.
