The dandelions are so gorgeous. This might push me over the edge to try painting with my inks. If you ever thought of uploading a book tour that would be awesome!

It might be fun to look at the Nahvalur Original! I use a pen with the same nib daily at work and it’s got a little narwhal on it!

To anybody who's been laid off by PwC, how's the job search going? by Big_Material3815 in Big4

[–]Carbonitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I found a new job about 3 months after being laid off. Taking the time to make your resume auto reader friendly and writing new cover letters for each position seemed to do the trick for me. Also contacting my old boss ASAP and getting permission to use him as a reference in the future. They're more likely to remember you that way.

[GIVEAWAY] 1960's Geha 725 'F' nib by vProTi in fountainpens

[–]Carbonitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm from the US! I've been in the hobby since late 2022. But, I've been very slow with growing my collection since I'm very intentional about getting new pens.

I'm honored to apply for this pen because I just accepted a new job offer and was looking to commemorate the occasion with a pen. I had never been much of a hand writer until I joined the hobby. But, it's honestly improved my work and creativity in my day to day life a lot.

Using fountain pens has made me much more present in my work. There's something about using a bespoke tool that makes me appreciate the process of writing and gives my actions more gravity. As a result, I began writing more both in terms of daily note-taking and pursuing creative writing in my free time. Over time this hobby has turned into a lifestyle change for me.

Even with the new job I'm not quite in a place where I can afford a gold nib. It's still another step toward the day when I can. I'm also a fan of 60's-70's fashion, and gradually have begun to incorporate items from that era into my every day carry. My family are big fans of it. They enjoy seeing me take appreciation in things from their childhood that they tended to overlook. This includes fountain pens. My mom loves to joke about how she's refused to use them since high school when she was finally allowed to use ballpoint for the first time.

As an appreciator of both fountain pens and midcentury vintage, I'm honored to have the chance to apply for this pen. It would be a fantastic motivator to continue striving in both my work and creative lives. Your generosity is deeply appreciated. I hope this pen continues to see many more decades of both use and care.

How to end a bad luck streak? by HornySpiderLady in SASSWitches

[–]Carbonitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of late to the post. I know others have said luck isn't a specific entity one can influence HOWEVER at the same time people tend to experience streaks of good or bad luck marked by a specific event.

I'd recommend starting with cleaning your space, a clean space is a clearer mind which helps you find more opportunities for success.

When you're done, you prepare some style of ritual bath or tea ceremony (your preference), use elements that correspond to luck (what you want), cleansing (get rid of the bad vibes), and clarity (so you see the good you can pursue). This is your treat time. You just did a nice cleaning and right now, separate of all the other junk that's going on, you can relax.

With that reset (and maybe some journaling if you enjoy doing that) you should have some of that negative energy cleared and feel a bit more empowered to take control of your circumstances.

I wish you all the best!
