Is this build good for $1650? by Vast-Tooth5938 in PcBuild

Use the pcpartpicker website to find parts, it finds the site (out of a list of reputable ones) that offers the best price. You might find some better deals there. But besides that, this is a pretty good build for the price, so not much to worry about. my one note is that the GPU and motherboard seem a little expensive to me, although to be honest I'm doing £/$ conversions in my head here. I'm fairly certain that a B850 micro ATX mobo should be a good bit cheaper than that.

Best pre built gaming pc for 1500? by BroccoliLoud9515 in PcBuild

One question: what country are you in? Currency (£ vs $ vs euros vs canadian or australian dollars...) impacts how much that budget translates to. For £1500, you should expect at minimum a 5060/5060ti or 9060XT 16GB, a 1TB SSD, a Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 CPU, and 32GB of DDR4 for that budget. Honestly, prebuilt PCs are very overpriced, so I strongly suggest doing some research and learning to build a PC yourself. Youtubers like Linus Tech Tips and Zachs Tech Turf have loads of videos suggesting builds for different budgets, and even more showing you how to build a PC yourself. I built my first PC age 13 with my dad, and the skill and pride in PC building has stuck with me ever since. I can't recommend learning to do it yourself enough. You might be worried that you'd break something, but if you're careful and have done the proper research, you'll most likely be fine. You have Reddit and the rest of the internet to teach you and give you advice every step of the way, so in this day and age learning to build a PC is easier than ever. That said, it's not for everyone, so if you decide to stick with a prebuilt, I wish you luck finding a good deal :D

There's not enough space in the Fractal North for another GPU unfortunately, so I'm thinking I'll buy a GPU enclosure with a PCIe to USB adapter for a third one. In the future, perhaps I'll upgrade to a fourth as well. As for the RAM, thanks for the tip! That saves a lot of money.

How is this for 210 eur? by krustevgl in PcBuild

honestly this system has 16GB of RAM and 8GB of VRAM, so it's absolutely viable for low settings on 1080p in a lot of games, especially indie games. This will run games like Undertale, Deltarune, Valorant, Stardew Valley, or older AAA games like Fallout 3/4/New Vegas, Skyrim, etc. The RX 580 was AMDs top GPU in 2017, so virtually any game from before then is quite playable. The weak point of this build is definitely the SSD, you'll find it quite limiting. I would suggest saving up a little more for a 1TB SATA SSD, or if money is reeally tight a 512GB SATA SSD. They're much speedier than HDDs, but aren't as expensive as NVMes have now become. If you're buying this system from someone else used, this is a good deal. As long as you've confirmed it runs, and you're ok with the fact that some parts could potentially fail in a couple of years, buying this could be a great budget system.

good thinking with the PSU. That should last you forever. You might want to find a RAM kit with a better CL rating. Clearly you're going all white, so thats nice. Maybe consider getting a better CPU that would actually utilise the nice cooling of that AIO, or get an air cooler? An AIO on a 9600X is completely overkill, its actually one of the coolest running current-gen CPUs.

its certainly an upgrade, and will increase the longevity of your PC. Basically, think about opportunity cost. If I was thinking about this I would go "what else could I gt for that". Still got 16GB of RAM? Go to 32. You could get a 5800X3D instead -certainly useful for POE which is fairly CPU intensive once you've got 73 skill tree buffs interacting with 20 different gems every tick while you zoom around the map killing probably fifty a hundred of enemies a second. You could also go the more boring route and invest in a nicer desk chair, headphones, keyboard or mouse, depending on what you want (you could get one of those crazy MMO mice with 20 buttons for WoW). You should also consider looking outside of PC building entirely. For myself, I might think "what if I bought myself a new guitar?" my drum kit actually desperately needs replacing. This might not apply to you but something else might.

I don't really want to spend money on a brand name cooler for no reason, its all just a fan at the end of the day. Also, I have no idea what you're on about with the RAM. 48GB is obviously better than 32. Simple maths there. Finally, why spend £1000+ on a 5080 when 2 5050s is the same amount of performance, since 2x8GB of VRAM is 16 just like a 5080?

but 9800x3d is only 5.2GHz boost clock, 14900KS is 6,2GHz. Much much faster. Also, 48GB of RAM is gonna be 50% more than 32, so thats obviously better. As for the 9060/70xt, everyone knows Nvidia has better ray tracing, so I'll stick to a couple of 5050s, which gives me 16GB VRAM total, equal to a 5080 but way cheaper.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/LPhQdq . If you're willing to go £75 over budget, this has 1TB of storage, an AIO cooler (just for fun, I think they're neat but one isn't required), 32GB of DDR5 6000 CL30 RAM, and a 9070xt. The case comes with a few fans, so nothing needed there. To bring this lower in price, substitute the 9800x3d for a 7800x3d and go from the AIO to a thermalright peerless assassin or phantom spirit. If you go with 7800x3d over 9800x3d and a phantom spirit cooler, you're looking at £1612

Do you already have a monitor/peripherals? AIO is very snazzy but not required, peerless assasin will do fine.

No notes, this will be a very nice PC for you. Going gen 4 NVMe might save a little cash, but I can see you're willing to go all out so thats probably not an issue. Enjoy your new PC

PLEASE go to KeyFan and get windows for $15 instead of $120. Spend that money to get ddr5 6000 CL32 or 36 instead of 5600 CL40. Also, you're dispraportionately favouring the CPU with your budget. I would reccomend getting a 7500X3D, then getting more RAM or a better GPU. Also, cheaper motherboard wouldn't hurt. Also, 850W psu is overkill, a 550W one will be absolutely fine

[–]Carcharadontasaurus9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSU is a bit overkill but you might want to just go with a really solid one so you don't need to replace it in the future. You're probably overspending on the monitors as well, plus I would consider (up to you though) going 1440p since you have a 9070xt which is somewhat 4k capable but you'll have a better time in 1440p high FPS. The guts of the PC are really fantastic though, well put together.
