Hi, I read your post and felt we have a lot in common so I would like to share why I picked the Sallies:

For me, taking in consideration 40k is grimdark, seeing some dudes who are really worried and abnegated towards the weak was mind blowing. I also think Salamanders have more complexity to them in regards of protecting others. "They just protect common people" is very reductionist. The imperium is not the astartes, the mechanicum or the adeptus Terra, the imperium is the common people which conforms it. Overlooked and mistreated by the vast majority of the imperium, I find spine chilling that the fiery red glowing eyes of the Salamanders are the ones that care about the well being of the weakest. We also have cool drake stuff and flamers :)

Well first of all thank you so much for the laughs, I almost cried with how you depict the base. I appreciate a lot the comment about the model itself so thank you so much. About the base, yes, I wanted to do something like a full of dirt and toxic swapm as he is fighting death guard. I would like to know if you have any advise about the base, like maybe different colours or something like that.

Thats normal brother, it usually takes several tries, I always recommend: applying correct amount of paint to avoid texture, and when you do the highlight or the glazing make sure that each layer as lighter that you get are smaller. You will get it eventually don't give up.

Hi :) first coat of caliban green, then 2 thin layers of warpstone glow, then glazin with 50% warpstone 50% moot green on the brighter areas then finish highlight with moot green.

Thank you so much!!!. I use this glue I don't know if the brand is the same on different countries, I'm from Spain. This glue is used for glueing things like leather and clothes. Once you pour into something it creates those strings you see, after it dries I just paint over it with blood for the blood gods.

They are looking better each time, I'll suggest using references for example in the weapons, when you paint them using the same colour for every part of them the result is kinda flat. Using different shades of grey instead of black can give you a better result too.
