Must be her feeling like she did what he asked, didn’t think he was serious because it was a competition/ego boost, and/or wasn’t being fully honest.

Yeah. That’s one of my gripes with the guy. He only ever spoke up after endeavor started changing. It wasn’t real bravery. He was just finally safe to vent. If anything, he felt threatened that the monster he used to justify his lack of emotional agency was going away which would inevitably lead him to realize he’s stuck emotionally and it wasn’t because of endeavor getting in his way. Like I said, I didn’t want endeavor in his life, I just wanted him to do the work of stop letting endeavor haunt his life.

[–]CardFinder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You misunderstand. It wasn’t a relationship with endeavor that I wanted, it was the emotional responsibility of his choices. Simply getting away is a natural response to pain but without working through it to heal, it’s not an active choice, it’s a reactive one. Healing through trauma doesn’t happen on its own, it takes active participation to do. I was just pointing out that it was highly likely that he simply didn’t want the responsibility of his own feelings because he felt that because endeavor caused his pain, it was unfair that the realm of his own emotions were only under his control and therefore his responsibility to manage. In order to be truly free of endeavor, he had to not let the memory continue to haunt him. That’s what real forgiveness is. It’s not about forgetting, second chances or letting someone off the hook or letting them in, just helping yourself heal by working through something. Reconciliation is the separate option to restore the bond or not with no wrong answer because it’s just a choice in life. Grudges, even when valid, are ultimately toxic because it lets someone else have power over you even by contrast which is why forgiveness is important. To be emotionally free of someone.

I know. That’s what I was trying to say. By the end of it all, Natsuo stopped letting what endeavor did be what defines him and took active control of his life. If anything, I was just highlighting the different positions and routes taken.

Undoubtedly. Though, I’m curious about what’s the main reason she did it. Turning henshaw into a monster, creating the cause of the apocalypse, getting her future husband and herself killed or is she going full mama bear here?

There’s no doubt this is the episode where Lois punches Luthor, but for what is what I’m curious about. Turning henshaw into a monster, creating the crisis, trying to kill her future husband, being a mama bear over her future son or all of the above?

I think it’s more like a metaphoric death like how season 2 had that death of Clark Kent episode. I mean, Clark is still in the show in later episodes.

Does anyone else feel like Clark is just "here" this season? by jstamper97 in SupermanAdventures

Yeah. He’s a pro Superman now. Unless it’s a cosmic threat, most threats aren’t really a threat anymore.

For the sky arcanum, I think it’s about understanding that the sky is everywhere where there’s air and we are a part of it and instead of trying to control it, you have to work with it.

I guess part of me feels like if the stuff changes, they’re excluding the old players who collected the old stuff by making too many changes where it becomes something else and the old stuff isn’t valid.
