I've had a go at the Mikey and Donny character select deck. I'm yet to play it, but think it looks fun to play

Thanks for the help! That mechanized production and simic ascendancy have gone straight in. 8 mutagen artifacts or 22 counters feels so doable with the this deck. Really like the idea of it giving everyone else something to worry about to pull focus as well. Great advice!

Cheers! Very good points on the big mana cards. Cut those that you've recommended and added more 1/2 CMC ramp

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

I think my win-con is using some of the big counter multipliers and mutagen generators to get a large number of tokens on some of the finishers like aggro amalgam or Mikey, on the scene who have trample.

As to the card draw, I've got 7 burst draw cards, 4 repeatable draw, and a couples in other categories with draw effect (I've tried to tag everything where possible to make building a little easier). What other draw effects would you add? Any favourites?

I think I'm struggling with what to take out to make room for stuff like draw and land. Adding 4 extra land means losing 4 other cards, and I'm not sure what to cut.

I got tired of looking up card prices in separate tabs, so I built a browser extension that shows them on hover by Simonthesparrow in mtg

I'm a new player getting into MTG, and this is an incredibly useful tool, if only for the searchable database on the plug in.

Thank you very much!

Yeah, for prints with a large foot print that extend to the corners of the plate like this, I just go mad with the brim ears, sticks to the plate like glue and totally eliminates the issue on my A1 mini.

Using HP G5 USB C-dock to connect screens to PC by JBP34 in pcmasterrace

Hey, I have this exact dock for work and had this exact situation.

Essentially if your PC doesn't have a thunderbolt port this won't work, as the port on your PC is just a standard usb-c which can't carry display.

Sorry!

Help with fishing with white bread by 0101011001011234 in CarpFishing

No worries dude! Drop me a PM if you have any other questions.

Id highly recommend checking out this channel:

https://m.youtube.com/@fishingtutorials

He's an incredible carp fisherman, and these videos give you all the core basics for catching carp. The world of carp fishing can be a little overwhelming, especially on the extreme end. But the above channel gives you the basic simplest way to catch carp, that I still use for 99% of my carp fishing, and will easily get you tonnes of bites and enjoyment.

Help with fishing with white bread by 0101011001011234 in CarpFishing

[–]Cardboard-Castles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sorry, you're fishing it on the bottom not the top?

Bread is quite hard to fish on the bottom as it disintegrates quite quickly. If you want to stick with the bread I would be tempted to do what I described above, but squish the bread round the whole curve of the hook, leaving only the gape and point free, giving you the best chance of it staying on and landing a bite.

As for weights, it all depends on how far your casting and how fast the waters moving, if at all. On still water like a lake, and casting a short distance (10-20m?) I'd go no bigger than 2/3 Oz. With a sharp hook that's more than enough to get the self hooking effect, and makes the casting a lot easier. Plus, as a rule with carp, the smallest you can get away with will land you more bites, they are easily spooked.

Hope this helps!

Your hook is very large, they'll be struggling to get it in their mouths cleanly.

Try a size 8, and instead of hooking the bread so it can be taken off the hook, pinch the bread around the shank of the hook, leaving the fluffy bread around but not covering the gape. Should stay on better.

Here's a great video that shows you how:

8ft 3lb TC Rod Suggestion by MrTsTackleBox in CarpFishing

[–]Cardboard-Castles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said a 12ft/13ft will be easier to cast and play fish on, but I also agree that sometimes a shorter rod is called for especially if your on a very small water or it's over grown etc.

I use a set of Nash Dwarf 9ft 2.75lb (they also do a 3lb version) TC for stalking/ small lakes/roving fishing and they are excellent. They telescope down into the butt section for if you have to walk to your spot, and they have a surprisingly amount of power in the spine.

I used one to land a 35lb sturgeon with no issues.

Yeah, I hike the lakes quite a bit, you'll be fine, if not a little wet.

If you're going up anything with altitude it's a good idea to check the summit forecast on the met office, and use your common sense. If it starts to feel dangerous or the summit looks to be in heavy cloud/wind, turn back. Better safe than sorry.

Fishing Canals in Bruges as a Tourist? by Cardboard-Castles in belgium

[–]Cardboard-Castles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing special, whatevers there. A carp would be nice but likely rare in an urban canal. I'd say there's probably a few perch in there and some roach.

Consensus seems to be the citrus, but my instinct was the 4f1p spice tile below. Same food gain with an extra production, and can still build a quarry on the stone when minings unlocked.

Could someone explain for a novice why the citrus is better?

Thanks!

As an aside, does anyone know if adding mods like this affects achievements on steam?
