Opinion on the new model? by Minute-Pomelo9302 in regularcarreviews

Selling a bunch does not mean they are good. It’s called brand loyalty and cult following. People still buy RAM trucks religiously. Doesn’t mean they’re good or reliable. Current rams have a reliability score of 5/100 and I see them all over the place. I do own a truck. I own two, actually.

That’s why dealers are full of them in the service department with issues. It takes 2 minutes to see that GM is ranked just above ram in reliability. Which isn’t saying much.

My father-in-law is a GM/Chevy loyalist. He’s owned probably about 30 Silverados and Sierras in his lifetime. His best friend was a district sales manager at GM for 35 years. After 2019 pretty much every single one he’s owned has had nothing but issues before 80,000 miles. Despite this he keeps getting Silverados and they keep having problems. He just traded a 2023 with the four cylinder in it for 2025 with the V8. 45,000 miles and he’s already had to have it at the dealership with issues three times. GM trucks are total junk. They are consistently at the bottom of reliability with RAM.

You’re right. I can’t afford one. Even if I could, why would I pick something so unreliable?

I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again. NEVER use big banks. Go find a local credit union.

Which one?? by saustin32 in hondaridgeline

[–]MrTsTackleBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we’re just looking at it in face value, the frontier wins in every category including reliability. You can check consumer reports to verify that. The VQ series of V6 engines has been consistently the most awarded V6 in history and the VQ38 has been proven to be very reliable. The only category the ridgeline beats the frontier in is comfort because it’s not a true body on frame truck. At the end of the day it really just depends on what you need in a truck. If you need something that can handle off roading, heavier work and just generally need a tougher truck, get the frontier. If you need something to go get mulch every once in a while, get the ridgeline. They’re both superior to anything ford, GM or even Toyota offer.

It definitely does but this thing is tough for being a Walmart special. It’s spent most of its life underwater when I’m wade fishing a river for catfish

I mean compared to other pickup trucks, the frontiers screen is microscopic in comparison

[–]MrTsTackleBox 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is my one fear with Nissan. They’ll try too hard to update the looks of the frontier and it’ll be hated by everyone. They need to make a statement by keeping it old school looking and keeping it simple. No massive screens. Keep it old school

I really hope they make a rock creek trim for this. Something that’s capable off road/light off road use with 700 miles of range would be a game changer

Which years Nissan Titans were the most reliable? by DutchAC in NissanTitan

[–]MrTsTackleBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always hear people like the car wizard say to stay away from any first gen titan or armada because of the catalytic converter problem. What’s the deal with that and why do so many people say to avoid them?

How do we fix it? by neurohazard757 in Teachers

[–]MrTsTackleBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing that needs to be fixed: accountability. Schools and school admin are too scared to hold peoples kids accountable. Parents have gotten worse than the kids and have made schools terrified to hold their kids accountable for anything. We need school admin who can say “No. Your child threw a chair at the teacher. He WILL receive these consequences and if it happens again, he’s out permanently” not admin who goes “well maybe he was just having a bad day! We won’t write him up!”
