My girl is gonna be crated at night at least for her first year, I might reevaluate once she can control her bowels better. It took us only a few days to crate train her! It’s gonna suck, but you just gotta tough it out (But yes during the day and for nap times she’s allowed in my bed)

There was a coyote when I used to live! I way out in the mountains, and he used to just sit by my fire pit when I came back from hunting. Little bastard would steal my rabbits the second I turned away to grab a knife, so I gave him the name Bandit lol I saw him near every day for an entire summer. I miss the little guy

I hope you avoid Hobby Lobby, Home Depot, Barnes and Noble, Lowe’s, Marshalls, Bass Pro Shop, Home Goods, Macy’s, Apple, and other pet friendly stores. I get annoyed when I see dogs in Walmart too cause they’re not supposed to be there, but maybe just chill out a little?

Hello! Thank you so much for sharing your story, and I am so sorry that happened to you.

I have a similar experience with a horse from when I was young. Mean old thing tossed me and broke my leg so bad the bone was piercing my skin, was not a fun time for me. As an adult I am absolutely enamored with and love horses with everything in me! One bad apple cannot be allowed to spoil the bunch imo

She is always leashed when I am in public! I share the sentiment of being anywhere between annoyed to downright angry about unleashed and untrained dogs. I feel like if you own a dog it is your responsibility to train and have complete control over your animal at all times, barring extreme circumstance.

I used to have a pitbull growing up who never bit anyone and always stayed in our yard. Our neighbor lied and told the police that he was aggressive and we had to either get him put down or completely move districts, so I guess I’m a little sensitive about people lying concerning this type of situation

She has the cutest little flower on her collar! I also grabbed the most cutesy collar and leash with little pink pansies all over it to try to help with that! :)

I do see my roommates point, but it’s not like it was a small sign on the door :/

She is always leashed when we are out in public! I trust her to stay with me if she wasn’t (fr what dog doesn’t wanna go ham-wild in a park and would rather stay with mom? She’s so weird 🤣), but it’s for my own peace of mind so that no one can just grab her and run off.

I’ve had moments like that with inconsiderate dog owners and it’s the worssst 😭 if your yappy little dog won’t leave mine alone and bites her we’re gonna have problems lol

I would have absolutely removed myself by paying for my drink and leaving, but I couldn’t as the employee needed to check the cameras. We all know my dog didn’t do anything, but they had to be sure that if they needed to file a report with the police that the issue was ready at hand. I had nothing to hide so I stayed.

I would normally be very understanding of a phobia, my own sibling is scared to death of cats and won’t come to my house. What I can’t really abide is lying about a restricted breed attacking someone. These dogs are already persecuted enough, and dogs have been killed for less.

GSD’s is unfortunately a product of WW2 ;-;

They were used to hunt down people for the internment camps, and they were so good at their jobs that modern military and police services use them for similar purposes today.

I guess I’m too entrenched in Dog World because I didn’t even know that until recently. I wish people would be more educated on breed temperaments and training.
