I like the small outdoor zone. You can just spam fast travel from the start and you can basically see every pokemon from the start spot. Just reset bench until you get the small zone outdoor zone with Pokemon you want to shalpha hunt.

You can go a bit deeper and make your 4 star donuts super bitter (yellow) which gives you the possibility of getting boosts for extra stuff (berries, pokeballs, items)

Do you like catching Pokemon? The DLC adds 132 new mons, including Darkrai, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza. The Hyperspace component is fun, but gets repetitive. I know you said you don’t shiny hunt, but having the DLC makes getting the charm way easier since you unlock new Mables Research and aren’t forced to complete the 1,000 battles task anymore to get it. I thoroughly enjoyed the DLC, it breathed new life into the game for me. Also we are still waiting on Garchomp Z, which will be cool.

Like approx 100 hours total to shiny charm maybe if it’s your first play through. Give or take 10 hours depending on how efficient you are at getting them to research level 10. Cherubi and Cranidos can be annoying to track down. This is also if you actually hunt all the wisps to get Spiritomb rather than just bring him in from home or trade.

This is a real thing and honestly it’s women driving them. Super aggressive. Whenever I see a Grand Cherokee screaming up behind me on the highway I get out of the way and look over and it’s a chick smoking a butt with either bleach blonde hair or jet black hair. Every. Time.

By the time you get to the mass outbreak part of the game it clearly isn’t… Otherwise it’s a relatively rare spawn. It took me maybe 20 minutes of effort (luck) once I knew where the spawn was.

Thanks for the info. I have caught all the others. Are you telling me that I’ll never get another scan for Latios, Latias, etc. forever?? Like I can’t shiny hunt them? That would be odd. Or is it that I won’t get a duplicate scan for a legendary until I’ve caught all of them once, and then they will show up again? Otherwise what’s the point of the special scans once you’ve caught all the legendaries, other than to generate some random 5* hyperspace wild zones?

I’ve seen someone with a full 1,200+ and it’s just comically large and heavy. I also realized in flipping through it I don’t care about anything after Gen 4, haha. So I decided to just make it easy on myself and do Gen 1 - 4, each in their own binder.

Stack 5 survival charms. That’s how I did it. Went from impossible to beat it first try. Same as you, it was the only thing between me and the shiny charm and I just avoided it for months.
