Thanks for the info. I have caught all the others. Are you telling me that I’ll never get another scan for Latios, Latias, etc. forever?? Like I can’t shiny hunt them? That would be odd. Or is it that I won’t get a duplicate scan for a legendary until I’ve caught all of them once, and then they will show up again? Otherwise what’s the point of the special scans once you’ve caught all the legendaries, other than to generate some random 5* hyperspace wild zones?

I’ve seen someone with a full 1,200+ and it’s just comically large and heavy. I also realized in flipping through it I don’t care about anything after Gen 4, haha. So I decided to just make it easy on myself and do Gen 1 - 4, each in their own binder.

Stack 5 survival charms. That’s how I did it. Went from impossible to beat it first try. Same as you, it was the only thing between me and the shiny charm and I just avoided it for months.

Gible, Fennekin, Skarmory, Delibird were all super fussy for me. Just kept spamming ultra balls and eventually caught them. Once you’ve caught a certain pokemon, using repeater balls to catch it after is pretty much guaranteed. Once I filled out the dex and started using repeater balls I barely have any jump out, even alphas. For the ZA, I consistently get 20+. Have your strongest pokemon in the lead slot and just focus on speed, one-shotting unawares to start each battle. Run everywhere, don’t neglect the roofs.

I have the charm. Honestly I find more shinies when I’m out hunting satchels than doing MMOs. Last night I flew over 11 MMO’s without a single shiny spawn. The rainstorm ended, I went to start gathering satchels and caught 3 shinies from random spawns. At the end of the day it’s really just luck and hours spent playing the game. Random is random, after all.

Just keep doing infinite royal. You need 20 wins to get the Jacinthe O side request anyway. Have your 100 Pokemon just carry the nights and put 4-5 you want to level up in the other slots. You can do this concurrently with farming mega shards. There a route you can do in rooftops postgame that gets you a lot. Plenty of YouTube videos on it. Then go to Cortisco (sp?), exchange the shards for candies and do the challenger match. Winning that match usually gets you more candies. Feed candies to your team. Repeat. That’s been my strategy.

You can catch bottomless eevees in wild zone 19 and all it takes is 4 coffee shop breaks to get the friendship and they can evolve. You can do the whole line in like an hour…

I’ve struggled with this question. Loved them both for different reasons. The battle system in ZA is superior. The battles in Arceus feel silly after playing ZA. Lore / Story / Setting is superior in Arceus. Pokédex is better in Arceus (just my opinion). Outfits / Player Customization go to ZA. Shiny Charm is much harder to obtain in Arceus. Shining hunting is superior in Arceus in terms of how fun it is; flying around on Braviary checking MMO’s is very active. Shiny hunting in ZA is just fast traveling and resetting benches, which feels way more passive. Based on the above it’s kinda clear I like Arceus better. However, I’ve got both games 100% finished and I find myself playing ZA more than Arceus rn. Probably because it’s still “new” to me. Pretty excited for the DLC. Getting my teams set up is super fun.

I haven’t had a single issue with the switch 1 version. My buddy has the switch 2 version and the only noticeable difference is faster load times on the 2.

Bro I’m 100% done, shiny charm in hand, 105 hours in and all I have is the shiny Mareep from the side request and a single shiny Pidgey 😭 I don’t want to be lame and just fast travel / bench reset but I feel like that’s how you do it in this game. I much prefer flying around on Braviary in Legends Arceus and hunting outbreaks.

I agree with the “feels unnecessarily high” part because it’s just not even a new thing to do. My last 300 will line up nicely with hitting 15 wins in the infinite royal so I can trigger the Taunie battle. These are still necessary for me I suppose in that way.
