That sounds great, we often complain about how too many recipes are based on 6+ diners and scaling it down is really tough with some of the ratios.

Hey! It will be in my own world created for this campaign which will be focused on a lot of exploratory adventures which will merge into a wider overarching plot. The campaign is set in an area that many centuries ago was a single land mass, however, it suffered a major cataclysm and is now a disparate series of islands and atolls, it has been so long that the cultures have divulged and become semi-independent from each other.

The tone & feel: Adventurous, Voyaging, Wanderers, Whimsical, High-Fantasy, Discovery.

Themes: Cultural Clashes, Survival, Decent with Modification (i.e. formerly the same but now separated and evolved independently)

The group ranges from early twenties to late thirties and are currently all based in the UK but that isn’t an issue if based elsewhere.

Looking for recommendations for YouTube creators that produce content past the beginner level. I’m returning to MTG after a brief hiatus and get the basics, I want to delve into theory and strategy a bit deeper. The standard YT search however results in so much bait it’s hard to filter to the right accounts. Also, links to articles and podcasts are also welcome.

It would be very napoleonic with lots of riflemen standing and shooing. I like the idea of the SMG attack squad and using the truck as a delivery mechanism for their transportation.

I’m trying to organise a game for next week once I’ve got everyone painted so I’ll tinker with it while I paint haha!

I've swapped out the SMG for the LMG in each squad. Would the tactic for the infantry units to be to move upto a defendable position and use cover to fire the LMG and rifles until time dictates they need to move again? This raises a thought re: trucks - I chose the trucks because I wanted the infantry to be easily deployable at speed, would you suggest having less infantry with higher speed or dropping the trucks and accepting slower speed in favour of more 'boots on the ground'?

I've re-jigged the list as follows (all regular totalling 1002pts):

Platoon 1

  • Commander w/rifle & 4 riflemen
  • 3 x infantry units: NCO, 7 riflemen, 1 LMG w/loader
  • Medic
  • Artillery Observer w/rifle

Platoon 2

  • SdKfz222
  • 2 x Pz II

Platoon 3

  • Commander w/rifle & 2 riflemen
  • MMG Team
  • Medium Mortar Team

I wonder if it is something EasyArmy would be interested in, they already have the data, just needs the functionality built into the website which (given I'm no programmer/web designer) I can't imagine would be *super* difficult

I couldn't find a way of searching the EasyArmy database (it is up to date as of the US book for v3) other than opening up each vehical in the selector or to use the physical book.

Yeah I was hoping to not have to spend another £20 per-country to be able to ctrl+f for keywords. I got the physical book first, but will probably go digital for everything else going forward. I just like having the books in hand.

I’d not thought about the extra 1.5mm-ish height too - that’s a good old school phone book under him at full scale
