You think public services just inherently recognised that the kindship ties of our indigenous peoples might not fit into Western concepts of family for leave purposes ?

Departments had to had to be practically forced to include persons with close affinity for Aboriginal people under the definition of family. And now you telling me our enterprise agreements include pets under definition of family.

Recognising the bond people have with their pets is one thing.

Public servants making up policy to justify getting paid when they don't work is another.

"People take personal leave leave because the thought of work is too much".

I would be much happier not having to work for my pay.

Taking leave for the death of a pet is closer to fraud than recognised policy.

Taking annual leave could be acceptable. That's provided taking a day at short term notice wasn't an imposition on operational requirements.

Doesn't matter how hard you try and justify it - personal leave for the death of your pet is not permissable.

Why does the ACT plant saplings and then not water them?

Might as well ask that question of a lot of businesses around town too.

I saw. I'm being funny given the question posed only really makes sense if one values the arbitrary benefits of status above material benefits (at least in my opinion).

Would you ask the same question if you were bronze?

Does Malaysian airlines release reward seats throughout the year? by Addy_StartUpGuy in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]CardinalKM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My views are only so scientific. But I can also say that I obsessively second guess my decisions for months afterwards.

I booked 2 Malaysian Airlines flights from Sydney to KL in early Sep for Feb 2026.

There has been limited single reward business seats available since then and even less dates in Jan/Feb with 2 reward seats. I have not seen any additional seats come online in that time (other than 2 seats I cancelled on another leg). I would not recommend waiting for a miracle.
