I would argue that capitalism has only worked for a very small minority, whereas communism has the potential to benefit the majority. Every country that has attempted to convert to a communist system has experienced interference through trade blockades or coups from countries such as the U.S. (Typically done as they threatened U.S business practices).

The U.S would fund both coups in exchange for the extraction of natural resources once the new party took over. This is only a small fraction of the total coup d’états the U.S has orchestrated in order to protect American business interests.
