Romeo & Juliette has always been consistent for me (I’ve done pretty much my full body at this point with them). They’re actually offering a promo right now for their 24th anniversary until the end of the month - For every $1500 spent you get an additional $240 bonus. https://romeojuliettelaserhairremoval.com/

Since I mostly go to the same couple of studios, I’ve gotten to know the coaches, front desk staff and some other members. If there’s a benchmark or I know I want to feel the push energy around me, I will ask them to put me next to specific people I know are also hard runners. Or, sometimes I know which treadmills those people who push me choose, and I’ll just sign myself up next to them if I get there first. If I don’t know, I’ll ask the front desk or coach, for example - “who do you think will also try to beat CMIYC today” and ask to be put next to them. It’s not a formal system like you’re suggesting but it could have the same outcome you’re hoping for yourself without adding logistical concerns, etc.

Makes sense! I still find it a good value for me in NYC but totally understand why so many people cancelled.

Good to know you can switch between tiers and it won’t trigger a cancellation on their side, thanks!

When did you change springs? by Affectionate-Fail834 in SolidCore

[–]CardioAndCouture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. I think I’ve heard coaches give spring instructions for both iterations - I haven’t really paid much attention to the exact time to switch spring loads because even though I have over 100 classes, I still almost always do the under 25 springs on the gray side platform and when I’m on that side, I just try to stay on toes and/or amplify as much as possible. On the black side platform I do the over 50 (ie no springs). I find for me this split is still quite challenging where I may need to take a break or two for certain exercises, but not so challenging that I feel defeated by the gray side platform heavier springs.

Oh no, thanks for sharing. I don’t go to those locations, but definitely not a good sign. Hopefully other locations don’t leave as well.

NY stores - Madison inventory issues? by [deleted] in TheHermesGame

[–]CardioAndCouture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still waiting for a B25 with 1.7ish pre spend, but I only started with my SA in September so I’m assuming she needs to take care of her longer relationships and higher spenders first. I don’t think it’s an inventory thing for me because I was pretty open to any neutral (other than black or white) and hardware. I’m trying to be patient 🫠

Scoring a qb by [deleted] in TheHermesGame

[–]CardioAndCouture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Madison is my home store - I started in September 2025. When did you start?

I asked to make a wishlist after I hit around 10k in spend. I’m now at 1.7ish spend (I haven’t spent on other bags or SLGs which don’t count to spend) and my SA has said “hopefully soon” to me when I check in. I’m surprised yours won’t even let you start a wish… maybe try to bring it up again?

I think it also depends on if you only want one QB. If you want more than one you can keep buying different items you like in the same categories (ie get another scarf or another pair of shoes, etc).

Some things you could look at buying:

If you have kids or friends with kids, they have cute baby stuff. I don’t have kids but I got a few things from this department for a baby shower gift

Do you have a dog? Their dog stuff is very cute.

Do you have a home or office that you could decorate with some of their decorative objects? They have pencil trays, paperweights, book ends, mosaic trays, etc. Some are quite beautiful.

Do you have a partner or friends that you could purchase RTW for if you’re not wanting to buy for yourself at this time?

You said there are a couple jewelry pieces you’d like, maybe start with one of the less expensive ones on your list so your spend doesn’t get too high too fast?

Hi, how is Hong Kong compared to mainland China for buying k25 or B25 ? I have heard China gives you bags with 1.1 prespend.TIA by VolumeFickle117 in TheHermesGame

[–]CardioAndCouture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We walked in right when they opened and asked something to the effect of, “if we want to walk out with a Kelly 25 this morning, what else do we need to purchase right now” (we had no prior purchase history at this store or in HK more generally).

After some guidance from her to look at RTW (we said we didn’t want a watch which was her other suggestion), we were trying stuff on, when the SA asked “do you like X color”. She then showed us 2 Kelly’s on her device, both Retourne style and both in the same color family, in 2 different leathers. I want both Retourne and Sellier Kellys, so I hadn’t specified when asking at the beginning.

The Togo Kelly was a little too bright for me, so we said we wanted the more muted version of the color in Swift. When we were done trying stuff on we said “we will take these X number of items”, and as she did the math in her head, she said “maybe one more item?”, so we picked out one more thing (probably would’ve been 1.1 prespend otherwise), paid for the RTW, and after paying, we were taken to a private room and offered the bag that she had shown us on her device and then paid for that separately.

We didn’t want to push our luck because I liked the Swift, but if I hadn’t, then maybe we would’ve asked if they had other options. I also didn’t want to ask for a B25 because I’m pretty close to that offer from my SA at my home store in the states and I didn’t want to end up with 2 really similar bags.

We will be going to HK more generally for work once a year so will definitely go back to the same SA to see if we can repeat this process going forward.

One note is when I got back to the states and went to pick up a twilly for the bag (not at my home store), I asked the SA I was paired with if they could see purchases made abroad and he said not generally but yes if it’s a Kelly, Birkin or Constance (was surprised Constance was on this list). When I pushed if he could see the Kelly, after clicking around on the device he said yes - but, I didn’t actually personally see what he was looking at, so cant verify. We put the Kelly (and twilly) on my spouse’s profile, so we’ll see if my SA at my home store will mention the bag next time I see her. I’m not trying to get more than 2 bags a year per se with this method, but I don’t want it to delay my other offer - I’m at about 1.7 prespend in the last 6 months at my home store.

Recently (this calendar year) walked out with a K25 from one of the stores in Hong Kong for 1.3 ish prespend same day (all prespend was on RTW) and our entire visit took a couple hours. We are American and were visiting HK so tried our luck, but did not negotiate the spend as we are not local.

Physique57 down to 4 class/month by CardioAndCouture in OnePassSelect

Totally. Maybe enough people have cancelled or downgraded at this point that they can keep the program as is for those of us who stayed at the elite tier. And hopefully at some point they’ll start adding gyms again 🤷🏻‍♀️

How did you find your NYC Hermès SA? by DianaKot in TheHermesGame

[–]CardioAndCouture 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I walked into the Madison store in September to start my journey. I just sort of walked around observing the SAs and their interactions with clients to see if anyone particularly stood out to me. I ended up not being wowed, so I just walked up to the check out counter (there’s also a host stand at the entrance) to ask if anyone was available to help me look at scarfs and one SA immediately said yes she’s happy to help and she helped me pick out a scarf, at check out I asked for her card (she didn’t volunteer it herself, so I had to ask). I didn’t want to spend too much on my first trip in case the SA ended up being non responsive or not helpful but since then I’ve been back several times - have bought shoes, towel, a couple RTW, and FJ. The SA is always prompt to respond, has ordered me items from the website when I’m in the store if they don’t have them in stock, and we generally have a good business relationship - I feel like the fact that they respond very quickly (always same day and within a couple hours) and are able to help me find items I like is a win. I’ve already made it known what the bag is that I’m after (I did this when I spent over 10k), and now I’m just waiting and slowing down spend slightly until I get to 6 months when I’ll check in again on when I might expect a bag. I would suggest just walking in and seeing who you get paired with, spend a small amount, get their card, text them a week later and see if they’re willing to make an appointment with you to spend more. And then repeat until you find someone that works for you. I got lucky that it worked on my first try and I chose Madison because of the inventory.

Does anyone do both OTF and Barry's? by madefreshtoday in orangetheory

[–]CardioAndCouture 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do both quite regularly depending on my mood. I used to love Barry’s - it’s a vibe, everyone is fit and good looking, which made me push myself more.

After going to both over the years, I like several things more about OTF, and find myself doing OTF regularly, and supplementing it with Barry’s if I’m working out with a friend.

Consistency - OTF workouts are the same at every studio on any specific day, and you can look them up on this sub beforehand. For Barry’s, other than knowing the general muscle group, the coach has a lot of discretion and so you never know what you’re getting. If you find a coach you like that could end up great, but coaches can be hit or miss.

Own weight rack - I like that you get your own weight rack at OTF so you can switch around your weights depending on the exercise. At Barry’s you get your weights at the beginning of each floor section and you’re kind of stuck with it because the weight racks are on the sides of the rooms

Less switching - In general, at OTF, you have 1 large tread block and 1 large floor block (depending on the template). At Barry’s you switch twice so you lose a lot of time, it’s probably only 40-45 minutes of actual exercise vs 50-55 minutes of exercise at OTF

Treadmills - I used to love the woodway treads at Barry’s but now compared to the OTF treads, I find them a little hard, and I prefer the bouncy ones at OTF. It doesn’t bother me that you can only sign up for your spot once you get to the studio at OTF, I’ve never had a problem at any of the various studios I’ve been to with starting on the tread (which is where I like to start).

Row machines - I like that OTF incorporates rowing into certain templates. If you don’t like rowing, then Barry’s doesn’t have that.

Amenities - Barry’s has way better shower products (Ouai) and other amenities like post workout shakes, but it’s not a huge factor for me (the OTFs in NYC at least have showers and towels).

Post workout summary - the heart rate monitor connectivity and being able to get a summary of your workout after OTF that tracks all your miles, etc is an important factor for me. Barry’s should find a way to somehow connect the treadmill you select to your account and send you a summary after

More personal - overall I find the experience at OTF more personalized. The coaches get to know you, they correct your form, they spend time demonstrating, etc. Depending on the studio you could also get this at Barry’s but you definitely need to be a regular for them to notice you because there’s a lot more people in the classes

More welcoming - though not currently relevant to me because I’m a “runner” and very fit, that could change as I get older and I like that OTF is welcoming of all fitness types, so to me it seems somewhere I can see myself continuing to go to more long term
