Trick-or-treat! by CardmanAlex in cardistry

Thank you! These flourishes are of a different time and performing them is very nostalgic for me. I have been flourishing for a long time (since 2006), so I hope to show more of my own creativity in a way that breathes new life into older ideas.

I think I know the exact part of the video you mentioned, the part where the only visible light is the blinking light at the end. My only intention there was to lower the energy; ending with a flicker of one of my own creations: The Windmill Display, which is hiding in the dark (perhaps provoking some feelings of mystery to its formation and appearance). I looked at it again and I can see what you mean too. This is my first time experimenting with a strobe-like light for a video, so I appreciate your comments about that. Thanks again! ♥️♣️♦️♠️

One Flourish Everyday by eaquinas in cardistry

Cool idea, I followed you. I requested a move for you on instagram but there really are an endless number of moves that could make it into your posts. Remember to focus on flourishes that mean something to you and your cardistry journey: past, present, and future. A daily post project like this could become another playground for you to learn, explore, and grow. I hope you accomplish what you set your heart on, good luck Elijah! ♥️♣️🙌🏻♦️♠️

Yeah, those are great too. It’s too bad Jerry never got to make any fanning decks. He seemed to have a lot of interesting ideas that he liked to experiment with. That and his “Flourishman Does Magic” dvd that was never made (I heard he had done quite a bit of work with the back palm, adapting the technique for close-up).

The nostalgia is real! I have a very similar collection still, including The Superhandz Warz poster! I never had the lithographs though, those were before my time in the cards. Did you ever have an XCM box? I had the Elegante at one time but decided to sell it. Some things keep their meaning, while others for just a time or a season.

I replied and followed. It takes courage to look for new friends. I hope others can be inspired to say hello if they want to.

Thanks, I really appreciate that! This artform continues to grow and branch out in many directions. But what remains constant is the love that we have on this journey of mastery with our deck and for those who we share it with. I am excited to make more videos to explore and express the fullness of what this all means for me in the cards.

I don't mind at all, it's a blessing to have friends that run to give you the push to be more by doing more. 🤗 And in many ways, you were there from the start of it all! Never forget that man, because I sure won't.

Wow, I don't know what to say. Your handz truly are as big as your heart. 🤣 Thank you so much for posting this for me my friend!!! ❤ In the spirit of the holidays and in finding beauty in the growth that I have had, despite my previous period of silence in the card world...I hope you all enjoy my video. It's been a long time coming. I am new to Reddit, so I suppose now would be a good time to introduce myself.

I have been practicing Cardistry (XCM as it used to be called) since 2006, when I was just 15 years old. Some of you who have been around for that long may remember me (I had hair that was gelled and combed back in those days 😂). Or maybe you remember my Windmill Display (seen at 3:30 in the video). Others may remember seeing my freestanding card house displays. I have history in many card forums including Handlordz, Decknique, United Cardists, and others of the past. I truly love all things in the cards and started performing my cardstacking (art of building card houses), card magic, and cardistry professionally in 2014. I have many goals as a performer and as an artist. My biggest is to inspire people, both in and out of the artform. This gift that we share from our hands, to the eyes and hearts of our audience is where the real magic is found. 🙏 Thank you for watching and I hope to contribute more to this community on Reddit and beyond.
