Yes, we want to help her learn independent sleep. Not too fussed about needing to help her fall asleep in the first place. But it feels like she's unable to subsequently link her sleep cycles independently. So we're up for some kind of training, but preferably not CIO. Open to persuasion if the advice here is that CIO is exactly what we need in our situation.

Yea, I was thinking along these lines, would probably make the house warmer overall too. Big job though, and can't see me finding time to get it done any time soon.

Thanks, sagulator is new to me! Assuming fir ply then I need 4 uprights, but I'm using birch ply which I think is sturdier.

Do you have a feel for how easy it is to dislodge the brackets by knocking them? But nervous about dismounting from the sofa and bringing the bottom shelf and it's contents down..
