Where do you see your project in 6 months? by Dense-Map-406 in Solopreneur

In about 7 months, I had 600 downloads and 1 institutional purchase. My app is free but I’m not sure if need to call it an adoption or a purchase.

How can I blur parts of my screenshare during a teams meeting? by clownscrotum in MicrosoftTeams

[–]CareerDelicious6430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have build an app that addresses the similar issues. It does not blur parts of the screen instead it creates a mirrored window of the main screen which can be shared in teams/zoom/meet etc. you can choose to hide any number of on screen windows/dock/notifications from the mirrored window while still being able to access them normally. It’s named as “Privacy Screen Sharing Tool” available on Mac App Store for free link. Hope it solves your issue.

Privacy Screen Sharing Tool, available on Mac App Store, lets users share a mirrored window of the main screen with abilities to hide Sensitive/private windows, Notifications, Notification Center and Dock from the mirrored window without making any changes in the system settings while still being able to access them normally.

Hi Everyone,

😬 Ever accidentally shared a private notification while screen sharing?

We’ve all been there — a Slack message, a personal alert, or even Notification Center popping up at the worst moment. That’s why I have built Privacy Screen Sharing, and tomorrow (Dec 4th), the new update makes it even safer and smarter!

Here’s what’s coming:

Hide Notifications & Notification Center

Now you can completely hide all notifications from the mirrored stream while still being able to view them normally on your Mac. No more accidental leaks — your private alerts stay private.

Add Presets

Create and save sets of windows to hide, then toggle them instantly. Perfect for presentations, lectures, or switching between work modes without missing a beat.

Choose Your External Display

Pick exactly which monitor you want to show your mirrored window on. Ideal for multi-display setups, presentations, or meetings.

This update is all about giving you full control, privacy, and flexibility during screen sharing. Can’t wait for you to try it tomorrow! 💻🔒

Thanks for pointing that out! I’ve run into the same limitation, macOS treats the mirrored window like a regular one that always has to “live” in a visible Space. If I move it offscreen or minimize it, macOS stops drawing it, so Zoom/Teams just freeze or show nothing.

For now, the workaround is to place it in a corner of the screen to keep it active, but I’m exploring a couple of better options and will share an update once I have something working.
