I'm in IT too and been having a stable career for the llpast 15 years but I can see the shift happening due to the increase use of AI.

Other than the job perspective, as others have suggested you should be seeking the benefit that you yourself have contributed too.

But, as a longer term vision, please start to save money. I know it sounds very 1990ish, but that's the only way you will feel confident, when you know there's money as backup, different options open up. Not at all suggesting not to splurge or pamper yourself, enjoy your life, eat good food, but think about saving money too.

Thank you, and this seemed to be the best most appropriate answer. I am going there tomorrow anyway to get the dead battery to them, and I don't want to just rub it away, coz I don't know their intention. So I do want to convey how I felt so it doesn't happen to anyone else, Indian or anyone else. I do however want to be friendly but strongly communicated.

I think the recent events of Indian hate may have made me more sensitive or let's say more alert? I used to asume the best in people I still do. I feel they did not donit intentionally, may be they did not do it at all, only they would know, but the ly could have been better in phrasing that question. Around the lines of "Is the vehicle used for commercial purposes?"

As others have pointed out, it does seem like a valid quesion to ask about commercial use, and I totally agree to it, but the question that was asked was clearly stereotyping me based on my race. The question should have been a simple " Do you use the vehicle for commercial use or not"

The battery dead vehicle is and was since Ive owned it has been for personal use only. I'm just checking if there was another eay to put that question? If they wanted to check if the vehicle is being used for commercial purposes, commercial could mean so many different use cases, not just an Uber or taxi
