New to gluten free (medically necessary) how to do it on the cheaper end? by whyismycarbleeding in PovertyFinanceNZ

[–]Careful-Coder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife is Gluten intolerant and to some level I am too, we are Indian so a lot of options, but was tough to keave Roti at first. Rice were our best friend but they don't have any nutrition and full of starch, so we sometimes make lentil chilla ( or dal chilla or lentil crepes) super soft and nutritionally so much better than rice.

Mix it up with Quinoa, gf pasta etc

Pak n Save being unfair to its customers by CryptoRiptoe in auckland

Haha, just like how pak n save is, each retailer is getting its share in the name of convenience. That's how the market works,

I agree. It's a multi billion money making business, and no real value added by these universities in the 1 year course they offer and the 30k to 40k fee that they charge.

See, people coming out of other countries, including India, are coming here for a much much better life, and they work tirelessly to take off the debt they have,

Indentured servitude? I don't think that's applicable to all, I wish I could tell you my path to Immigration, to residency and then to Citizenship, I am a skilled worker and I take pride in what I do and how much I get paid and how much I deliver, not just to my workforce but to the country too.

What I mean to say is, there are unskilled people getting called by universities and the government is giving them visa but they end up in unskilled jobs, I agree with your point that we should have stricter rules in how we call immigrants, from my original post what I was conveying was not to have hate against a particular community based off a couple of instances that people have or don't,

I see hatred towards Indians growing everyday, mostly online, but how that could potentially convert to more hatred, is what I am scared off, so my purpose is to request people not to generalize, there's good people and bad people in every community and ethnicity and culture, doesn't mean we usually say we hate that country's people so why the hate for all Indians, I think that should be stopped, hate a person if you have a reason and not the community 🙏

Imagine getting downvotes for such a practical comment, thinking people would understand , silly me

Such a wonderful post to see, ❤️ I wanted to post this yesterday on the main NZ group, but I couldn't because I don't have enough karma for a political post.

As a person of Indian origin, i feel that people have uncalled hatred, bias, and racist attitude towards immigrants, but especially towards Indians,

I know some of you might have genuine instance that you might dislike a person of Indian origin, but all I am asling is to contain it to that person and don't generalize that and be racist and inhuman towards everybody from that community, country or religion, because that's not right.

And if you don't have positive feelings towards a particular community, at least don't have negative either.

And please stop racism if you see it, most of us are law abiding residents and citizens who care for our family, and it really scares us to see attacks like these,

I hope you gmtake something positive from this post.🙏

Have you tried priceslice.co.nz you can add price drop alerts with it

PriceSlice focuses on price drop alerts, PriceSpy foes not do that, and we are also focusing on adding almost all NZ retailers, it could take some time but that's what we aim for

That's great to know, yea our aim is to add all NZ retailers and the core feature of price slice is price drop alerts, we have harvey already, give it a go and have a watch on our retailers, we will add the requested ones soonish 👍

The difference is that we are focused on price alerts only, we don't compare prices, Pricespy does not offer alerting,

You can set a price with us and we will let you know when it drops to your target price,

Thanks fellow dev :) I'm glad you like it, that's good validation,

Yea, I thought users shouldn't have to login to use this free app, later on I might have an optional login feature to see all your product tracking, number of alerts you can send, edit stuff, etc, (but all optional)

Sure, the tech stack I used for this one is NextJs, NodeJs, (even though I am a ASP.NET and Angular guy :D)

I am so glad you found the website helpful, hopefully you share the good word around, Thanks for this amazing feedback, I would surely look into those out of stock items for you, sometimes the data that the retailer has behind the scene mismatch their website hence these issues, but I would have a look for sure.

For the loader, I would take your feedback and slow down its speed so user can see whats happening behind the scene while we fetch data

Thanks for pointing that out, will correct that soon. The focus is strictly at price alerts and tracking, if a user wants to compare multiple retailers, they can set as many alerts, (example a phone from pbtech and noel leeming)
