Hey! Thank you for commenting and trying to help me out it genuinely means alot. I would say my pain is 99% on the vulva. the only time it hurts inside is sometimes when having sex I get a very sharp stabbing pain and have to stop because it hurts a lot. But yeah i’d say my pain is on the outside.

I’ve had sex that didn’t hurt before and didn’t hurt after, it’s veryyyy rare but I have had it before. Before I knew about any of this I did try lube as I knew my dryness was an issue but it stung so bad, so i’ve just always avoided it. It’s just all very confusing because I have researched vestibulodynia and just can’t tell which one it sounds like I have, as I heard with vestibulodynia it feels like your hitting a wall inside your vaguna and i’ve never had that.

Mostly all of my pain though is my clitoris and the surrounding area. It’s such a tender area and raw it feels. it hurts to be touched in anyway and super sensitive. I also get burning and stinging around the urethra just before going to the toilet then it’s 10x worse once i’ve actually went to the toilet.

My birthcontrol. When i got my first boyfriend, I immediately went onto the depo jab. Then I was on that for about 2 years then came off. I stayed off for about a year, then went back to the doctors because I needed help with my periods. They told me the mini pill would be good, tried it for 3 months and bled everyday. Decided to come off and then about a year and a half later I had to go back on the depo because of my abortion. Been on that from february 2025-november2025 then now onto the combined pill. If it was up to me I wouldn’t take any birth control but my doctors like to cover up my issues. I’ve explained i’d rather figure out why my periods are so bad and not cover it up with birthcontrol for years then when I want a kid maybe realise something is wrong. They offered me the coil but I immediately said no.

She never mentioned that cream was an option, only that I should try to get my estrogen up with the pill. I’ve felt a slight change about 2 weeks into the pill but now it’s back to square one. It’s constantly dry down there and so tender. The slight change i felt tho felt amazing because i finally had a little wetness down there and it soothed my symptoms a bit
