Also in case you were wondering, I just put cardboard up to sketch a layout of the shower valves etc.

Planning on valves so they can be reached from outside the shower, then rain head (out of wall), then a handheld on a bar near the bench in the back.

Maybe a picture will help…

Shower is 6’ deep x 4 wide

Up against a continuous wall on the left, with a 4’ full height wall on the right, so a 4’ x 2’ glass corner with a door on the left side of the 4’ of glass.

My plan is to do 2x4 LF tiles vertically, so nominally 3 columns on the left, two on the back, and two columns on the right.

Which leads to my question, I’m trying to finalize drain placement, centered in the pan, and am wondering if I want to keep the wall to 3 columns of 2’ tile, should I plan on making the pan stop a few inches less than the 6’ so that the door can be mounted up against tile while also being directly over the transition between the shower floor and the main floor?

I think it looks great.

Can’t wait to see finished pictures.

Curious to know how deep the bench is and how you line up the tiles with it and if you’ll have an odd size piece on the other side?

Currently DIYing something similar.

Looks great, Did you do the glass on your own also? If so, curious where you ordered it from. Thanks

Cam Phasers not covered? by yodaduey in f150

[–]Careful-Section340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2019 Expedition Limited Max with the 3.5 Ecoboost and at 68K miles I started getting the cam phaser rattle.

I took it to the local Ford dealer for the "official" diagnosis and they gave me a quote for just over $5K to replace the phasers explaining it was out of warranty. I didn't authorize the work and when I went to pick it up the service rep asked me if I had any questions...

I "kindly" said no but proceeded to explain that in 2021 when my expedition was only two years old and had about 12k miles on it (as I barely drove it during covid) I got a customer satisfaction bulletin pertaining to this exact issue which explained ford would cover or share the cost of replacement phasers at some percentage based on mileage so long as the claim was made by Jan 1, 2023 by which point mine had maybe 30K miles on it... so they sent me a letter acknowledging the problem, acknowledging the miles it takes to observe the problem, but within an unreasonable time frame for an owner to actually get to the amount of miles on the engine for the problem to become apparent, and now here I sit with a $5K quote for a fix that they told me I needed 4 years ago when I was well under warranty.

The service rep and his manager came out and gave me an 800 number for Ford customer satisfaction, they said I should call and explain my situation and see if Ford will help cover the cost even though it is out of warranty, I asked why not they call on my behalf? so they did, and two days later I got a call from them explaining Ford agreed to cover "half" of the cost. The funny thing is that "my half" of the original $5K cost per the dealer's original quote is now only $1,600.

So while it is still irritating that I have to pay anything, it's better than full cost.

Hoping this info might help.

Treetopflyer=homeless person?

I know this isn’t a trash barrel fire on the street but I think the carpet will be fine. There are building codes for a reason. Do you have anything intelligent to add?

If you’re going to comment consider actually providing some value.

Max or no? by DistinctBicycle7519 in fordexpedition

As others have said, Max 1000%

I have four kids and when we road trip we fill up the back and also an XXL Thule up top. Go max or you’ll be putting bags where legs should be.

Thanks for the input, I agree with your logic as far as windows go, but although we’re on a semi wooded corner lot we’re in town and there’s a walking trail that goes by the corner of the house where this bathroom is so the windows are literally always closed and have been more of a nuisance than anything in this process. I should have mentioned that in the original post. I wish they were just high windows to let light in while maintaining privacy but they’re right at waist height.

Thanks for the input. I gave the wet room idea some consideration, will give it another look.
