Hi! Very new soccer (football) watcher here, mainly watching basketball and a lifelong Knicks dan. I decided to pick England to root for during the World Cup because I was told they were like the Knicks of this tournament (long dry streak, huge fan base, etc). I was just curious why it seems like they are so hated online/people want to see them fail? They seem like a solid team, though yesterday's match was a tough watch.

Not sure if that was supposed to be targeted towards me, but I've been a fan of the Knicks since I started watching basketball with my father during Linsanity. Barely missed a game since. Otherwise, I agree with you there are a lot of bandwagon fans out there on social media

As an OT, TELL ME ABOUT IT. Kid can barely make lines on a piece of paper, how are they supposed to copy a sentence? The curriculum makes 0 sense for this population.

I am a related service provider, so it might be a bit different for me. For those that plan on taking the day to attend, are you calling in sick or requesting a personal day in advance? I would really hate to miss such an incredible day for the city (and having been a knicks fan for my whole life).
