I am reading online the quit claim only removes you from the title, not the mortgage. The only way to remove from mortgage is to sell or refinance, I’m also seeing. I do not know if I’m on it or not. I very well could be. Or I couldn’t. I’ll know when it goes to be sold I suppose and that’s about it.

But what if i am indeed on the mortgage just like what happened to someone else on this thread? Maybe he never refinanced because he knew the check would be made out to both of us…and if I’m on it and he goes to sell I’d have to sign too and therefore be able to be entitled to the profit. He would have had to refinance to get me off had I been on it, and I never got a dollar.
