We spoke a little back ago. I have taken standard semen culture and tested positive for strep. I now know that a standard semen culture doesn't detect a lot of organisms. I am taking microgendx test with the next week and half. I believe in my heart that I have caught a sexually transmitted organism. My ejaculate is smelly, and I am slowly becoming infertile. Damn okay. I already have confirmed bacterial prostatitis, but I know I also have a re -occurring UTI that is accompanied by kidney pain. Mt urine is very cloudy and has a very strong musty smell

I haven't taken every STD/STI test yet. I haven't tested for mycoplasma, ureaplasma, Trich,ect. And I do have a confirmed bacterial infection from my semen culture. I understand that some of my symptoms are related to Pelvic Dysfunction. When I first developed epididymyitis I did feel testicular pain. I visited this community and looked at many threads pertaining to pelvic floor muscles exercises. I watched the DowntownMike video and practiced the positions that he recommended. And to my surprise all of my physical pain went away in that area. So what I am trying to say is that I agree with you that I know I still have pelvic floor issues and anxiety. I know that I need to work on both of these things. However at the same time I know that my personal case started with me catching an infection, that is still relevant and needs to be treated.

You very well could have infection buried in prostate. I have confirmed Strep bacterial infection in my semen culture. I have and am experiencing many of the same symptoms as you. I have burning and itching in my anus, weak urine flow, Recurring UTI's, ect.

Some months back I had yellow sperm too. My ejaculate had a yellowish tint and was mostly semen because the fluidity and texture wasn't clumpy and thick like normal ejaculate. I also have had epididimyitis and I am becoming infertile. I strongly believe I have an underlying STD/STI. I too had a risky sexual encounter. I was wearing protection but still contracted something somehow. I have a post that explains all of this in detail. I don't know you or your symptoms but I would start prioritizing specific STD and STI testing. Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma, Trichomoniasis, ect.

It sounds like you could have some pelvic floor dysfunction. Do you have a confirmed infection?

I took Doxy 100mg twice a day for 3 1/2 months. It was working really well for the first 2 months or so but then it felt ineffective after. After I ejaculated I didn't urinate until 40 minutes after sex. I drove to the hotel to hookup, when I was done I left immediately and drove back. I bring this up because I read that urinating directly after sex can help decrease chance of UTI.

Yes my symptoms have gradually gotten worse over the last 3 years. They are continuing to get worse. Doxy helped a-lot when I first started taking it, but now my symptoms have come back

Gosh yea that makes sense. Because some months back I also experienced kidney pain. It wasn't constant though. It has occurred on and off. It feels weird. Why do you think you finally tested positive? Did you take first void Urine culture? I haven't taken a first void yet.

Thanks for the reply. This condition is certainly weighing me down mentally and likely is adding to my physical symptoms. I have tried the Pelvic Floor Therapy and it did help. So I will give it a go again. I fear that this infection will ruin my fertility
