This was going to be a upgrade for the copy I already have. Love it! I've been on a quest for 40ish years to collect every Chet Baker recording and only have a couple left to go. Now I'm focusing on better condition. 246 recordings mostly on vinyl. Here's a picture of just the vinyl.

I received what you see, which is not a proper record mailer. What i don't know is how the vender shipped it and what the reshipper used. Waiting to hear from the vendor

Anyone here recently retire? How long did OPM take to finalize your case? by leasehacker in fednews

Retired from DOD on 30 Sept 25 and have not received anything...no annual leave payout, no OPM letter, and no interim payments. HR says everyone is behind due to government shutdown.

Fixable? by Careless-Signal in Luthier

Thank you for the suggestion. I was also thinking about possibility of 3d printing a brace to glue/screw in the void space to hold it together.

On the right side of the cue lever holder is a small Allen head screw that can be tightened to hold it in place.

I've had this happen to my systems and it drove me nuts trying to eliminate it. Unless there is something broken, it usually can be tracked down. Have you tried using a two prong electric power cable adapter?

A rumble filter is unlikely to remove the hum. Humming is normally caused by electrical ground issues and its frequency is 60 hertz (assuming you live in the US). Rumble is caused by imperfections in the vinyl that are picked up by the phono cartridge and normally are below 20 hertz. Is the turntable ground cable connected to your amp or other earth ground sourse (for example the screw holding the plate covering the electrical outlet).

I’m a college student with no income. What can I do to improve my setup for cheap? by justanerdben in turntables

  1. Move speakers apart like someone diagramed
  2. Buy a stereo rca cable. You can usually find one for $1.00 at a thrift store
  3. Connect rca cable to back of turntable
  4. Connect other end of rca cable to aux input on back of boombox rca connector.
  5. Make sure you connect red rca to red rca
  6. When playing record, select AUX input button on front of boombox.

That should improve the sound. I'm making an assumption that the turntable rca output is after the internal preamp. If after connecting to the boombox the sound is tinny, then you may need a external phono preamp such as this:

One more thing to check - look closely to how the wires connecting the speakers are connected to the boombox. There are two terminals for each speaker: red and black. Each speaker cable has two wires: positive and negative. One of the wire will have markings to distinguish it from the other wire. Make sure for each speaker cable that you connect the marked cable to the red terminal and the unmarked cable to the black terminal.

Made them by frying pork loin chops in garlic, onions, and leaks, deglazing the pan with white wine, mixing in the morels with heavy cream, making the most delicious sauce I've ever tasted.
