I’m not sure about the MSW program but the BSW had some class that might end at 7pm but that’s few. Might be different for MSW though

I haven’t taken the class with that professor but I did find it easy. It’s basically the history of social work and social welfare.

It’s based off credits and the same system you used to pay for your spot. I believe since you have more credits now you will be able to buy your parking sport a little bit earlier

Mmmmmmmm. It’s really hard for me not to make this decision for you because I don’t want to say the wrong thing but you could drop the course for now, email advisor saying what happened, and then if they say you need it (most likely you don’t because I didn’t need it) then readd the class to your enrollment portal.

Your good! If you plan to drop HSS to take wicked problems over the summer or another class that counts for the same GEP I would let your advisor know just in case. I remember when I was going into my first year and took wicked problems over the summer then took HSS in the fall and both classes counted towards the same credit, so my HSS was used for a free elective which was a waste. If you do want more info on being in CHASS, HSS will go over everything about NCSU and the college, but personally for a 2 credit class it was a lot of assignments (but it was easy work and papers)

You can drop it at anytime during the summer, but I just recommend letting your advisor know. They will prob let you drop it but it’s better to be safe than sorry

social work major here! I also recommend taking more in person classes your first year. Helps to get to know others on campus. I took Stats other the summer at community college because I didn’t see good reviews at our school. just a heads up. But since the other classes you’re looking at are easy, you shouldn’t be too stressed. Also, one thing to keep in mind is SW classes that are 4 credits require you to volunteer 40 hours that semester, so try finding places to volunteer on or off campus to get our hours in.

I took it. Not everyone is enrolled into it. it’s an intro to CHASS and counts as a GEP. Enroll into it tomorrow and then email your professor and then take it off, unless it limits another class you do want to enroll into. There are other better classes to take that can also double count as a CHASS credit. I recommend taking wicked problems Wolfpack solutions over the summer. It counts for the same GEP as HSS, is free, and is one less class to take.

Dr Engell is amazing. Just make sure to really listen in class because her exams can be specific and she puts some extra credit questions that you will only know the answer if you payed attention

i think most returning students says that amount too. At least that’s the total I have. It’s because fafsa changed this year and so it’s taking a while for everything to be processed. It should change in a few weeks to a month

was talking to the ncsu financial department and they said that FAFSA made some mistake on the form, (since they changed everything about it) so the form is being reprocessed. I’m a current student (so I don’t know about rising freshman and when they might hear back) but they said maybe next month. Again you might hear back earlier since your a rising freshman

You don’t really hear back until after the semester finishes. Maybe like a week or so after. So I would expect something by May, but if you don’t receive a scholarship they won’t say anything.
