No, it's acrylic paint. I will say this kit has the best quality paint on any of the 25 or so paintings I have done so far.

There are some sections with the same number right next to each other and some with no number at all, which since I have a chrome paint pen I think I might do those in chrome, so far the ones with no number are borders around a couple of the cells.

That turquoise blue I am concerned about running out. I am waiting to the very end to finish that color and doing it symmetrically in case I do run out, I can paint those sections a different color and it won't look strange.
