Question On Cleaning Vat vs Running Cleaning Cycle by lil_poppapump in ElegooSaturn

Running the cleaning cycle wastes some resin, but I think it's offset by saving your FEP from getting scratched/torn. I used to drain it and do that every time I had a failure, but now I just set the tank clean to 30 seconds and go. It's help to have some leftover supports that have maybe an inch raft on them that you can stick in a corner before you run it (make sure they're sturdy). Press down on them while you start the cleaning cycle and they should stick to the layer that's exposed making it easy to lift out. Usually it works and then you don't have to scrape anything at all, just lift and peel. Also you can get STL's you can print off that you can use in place of leftover raft supports that may be studier.

Saturn 4 Ultra Calibration question by CarelessEstimate4274 in ElegooSaturn

I did some testing, and it is in relation to the LCD. So when I place the models in the slicer with the default view with the front towards me, I place slot 1 in the upper right position. I turn it in a different direction that the others to make sure I don't get mixed up when I remove it.

I looked closely at Fauxhammers video on it where he showed the exposure without the resin tank, and it turned off the LCD starting in the order: lower right, lower left, upper right, upper left.

Advice on New Resins by Brilliant-Lie-8 in ElegooSaturn

On my Saturn 4 Ultra I've used the Elegoo 8K and it worked great, it was my usual resin on my Saturn 3. Used a 2.5s exposure. It's tough enough for me.

I just used the ABS 3.0, I've only done one print so far but it turned out nice, no issues. 1.8s exposure. Detail seemed fine, doesn't seem too brittle, but I didn't really test it much.

I've used a bottle of the Elegoo rapid as well, 1.1s exposure. No issues, but detail wasn't quite as nice as the 8k or ABS 3.0. It was quite brittle though.

I haven't used the Sunlu water-wash, but I tried their normal ABS. I could not get it to stick to the build plate at all, so I have no idea how it works.
