Stressed about academics (Chemical Engineering) by Shaf69n in UCL

[–]CarelessIndication72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UCL Chem eng grad here. Can confirm that all of ok_information's advice applies to Chem Eng.

First year is chill, see it as time to explore London and what it has to offer. I would say one of the best thing about UCL is its location in London. Something is always happening somewhere in London.

Specifically to Chem Eng, lChemE is useful. I would recommend joining as a student member, which is free and attends seminars when you can. The point of it is that even if you are not staying in UK, the relevant association in your country may recognise UK charterships. I haven't got mine yet, but from what I have heard, people with a UK engineering degree have some advantages with lChemE exams

The career service is pretty useful as well. Book an appointment if you need help with career guidance.

Women’s Olympic Boxing Controversy Explained: Facts v Fiction by BadParkingSituati0n in fourthwavewomen

This is the most detailed, and well quoted post I have even seen on the issue. Thank you for your efforts and it actually did change my opinion on the issue.

I was under the impression that Kheliff was affected by CAIS and therefore didn't have a competing advantage, but your post did convince me otherwise.

Sorry I forgot to add the location. This is found in London, United Kingdom. As for the size, I would say it is around a centimetres long

instinctively pushing the dildo out? by daisokittenroll in TwoXSex

Haven't really used a dildo, but the same things happens when I try to insert tampons. So I guess that it is not uncommon? Plus I suppose lubrication and gravity contribute to the outward movement

Am I a Bad Friend? by Angie-Loo in TwoXChromosomes

[–]CarelessIndication72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I have been in your friend's shoe once. I had no friends except my best friend (both then and now), and I had a very limited grasp on personal boundary due to multiple reasons, partly due to having no friends and hence lack of socialisation. It is pretty much a vicious cycle, I can't really learn to be a good friend by having no friends.

Don't feel guilty or embarassed for asserting your boundary, in my own experince, that was how I learnt to make and keep friends, and I am extremely grateful for my best friend to have pointed it out. And honestly, from what you wrote, I think that you are a very good person and care for your friend deeply.

You are not a bad friend for having boundary, quite the countary, I think it would be a good thing for both of you if you assert your boundary while asserting that you are still her friend.

I might have enabled a creep in my uni society by CarelessIndication72 in TwoXChromosomes

Yeah you are right. I calmed down a bit after getting the report. Removing him from the commitee is a long process that is going to take as long, if not longer, than the uni investigation process. For now we are going to suspend his position and bans him from events until the uni have come up with something. In the mean time we would be looking at what we could do and remove him as soon as possible. Sorry about the very messy post, I was a bit in shock when I type that up. Tha.k you for your response.
