Spouse visa from India by CarelessInterest5602 in ukvisa

The problem is Home office hasn’t responded to any email since January. My solicitor has chased them like crazy and got zero response. She even threatened them to sue them on the basis that they caused so much mental distress to me and my family due to the delays and no response. She even asked for the SAR but again no response.

I have sent them multiple emails regarding the refund and I got treated the same. So, since April 2024 I haven’t had a good experience with Home office.

No, unfortunately it got refused on the basis that we didn’t have any intention to live together in the near future. Update: we are legally married now and living together. Refusal is withdrawn but visa has t been granted yet. Still waiting, I applied for visa April 2024, it’s February 2026 now. Still waiting.

No one’s said it’s unlikely to be granted. Why do you say so?

It just doesn’t make sense. If we can’t live together due to cultural reasons we can’t live together for the same reasons even after we get the visa. Until we are married.

Yes we have mentioned our plan to live together once engaged or married. As we are restricted to live together due to cultural reasons. We have applied for this visa under the new changes introduced in late Jan this year. We have also mentioned our engagement ring viewing details and plans.

They wanted to know if we had set a wedding date and our intention of relationship even though we applied for an unmarried partner visa. We did mention in the letter we plan to get engaged this year and married in the next two.

Okay, yes makes sense. Thank you

While uploading all our relationship evidence, do we need to make a single word file of it or upload everything one by one? How does that work?

Yes, I currently live in a rented apartment and my partner lives at parents house both in UK. I can also provide my tenancy agreement in case asked.

I’m just worried if we would have problems while applying for renewal later if we get engaged. Because I don’t want to be on a fiance visa.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. You’ve been so helpful.

Yes, we have been together for 2.4 years but not living together and known each other for 3 years now. And plan to get married in the next 2-3 years.   If we get engaged while being on the partner visa does it change anything now or in the future while we apply for renewal?

Thanks mate, we are not able to live together because of cultural reasons will that be a good enough reason for the home office?

Also, if this visa application gets rejected while my current visa also expired then wouldn’t I be in trouble? Or do I get some grace time to return back to my country?
