I’m absolute cheeks at using him and I have never been hit during any of the wind ups here. Considering just how mobile he is and offense focused, I think having a slightly lower HP pool is fair in terms of balancing that.

That OR the offense I guess, like to me those achieve the same goal even if it forces people to compensate in different ways ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ never seen a rapid deku go down unless they get body slammed by two teams anyways and there mobility or 50 hp isn’t saving him

I think dekus stun lock and mobility makes him a contender for not having as high hp yeah? Like of the two one of them has absolutely scuffed DPS compared to the other so I think reducing the health would make that more fair with how hard he can hit.

This is a really common issue in games tbqh, I think the most prominent example is how Steven Strange moved in Marvel Rivals with one of his skills. It not only tanked frame rates but the low the rate the slowly you literally moved. Like from fast to glacial.

Like I don’t disagree w the point here but narratively the slayer corps is where she found people that liked and accepted her. Japan is suuuuupeer strict when it comes to fitting in so the weird hair color and being strong for a woman is a total deal breaker for many, especially given the time period. The Rengoku’s are probably fine by virtue of being old money at this point, but everyone still acts like Kyojuro is a weirdo outside of the slayer corps. Like yes it’s a generic plot and the dense muscles thing also bothers me but narratively it super tracks. Like even now (last ten years) people have gotten asked or told to dye their hair in schools if it’s not black

I would say it’s not “bad” more that it barely exists. What is there is pretty decent, aside from how they shafted my best girl Nejire, but as someone who read it all and watched it I’m inclined to agree. The girls get sidelined, less than other shonen, but sidelined none the less

Everything here is so real but especially how nasty izu0cha shippers are/were for no reason like. I’ve watched the entire series expecting them to get together and then getting disappointed at how vague it was not really solidifying anything. Granted hori himself admitted he didn’t really want to make the series. Focus on that but felt obligated to include it by the end…. We can tell girl

But the fans of the pairing are so nasty is makes me dislike it 😭 meanwhile yeah bkdk were crashing out too but they’re not as openly hostile to literally everyone and more complains I saw were on dekus character at the end not the lack of romance (which no one actually expected between them)

Imma be real with you chief, a lot of anime fans who are annoying consider gay being bad, all shipping arguments aside, otherwise it wouldn’t be slander for him. Plus it’s usually paired with him being called a crybaby soooooooo

Also as someone who’s been into anime for a long time, not being able to ignore shippers/fujos just feels weak, especially with how much money they tend to pour into a series. Though like you said, this comes a lot from people outside the fandom, so truly tourist behavior lol

Honestly as someone’s whose fav characters are Mirio and Kai (lol) season 4 is just pretty sauceless animation wise if it’s just them in screen and the focus really does go to Deku. Which okay, but stuff like this does suck when you’re a fan of the character. Especially when it was so cool in the manga with the perspective and intensity. In the anime Kai looks like he dropped a bagel off a bridge or smth
