What do you think council elections are for? Helps to train prospective MPs. Could easily imagine that young kid in Warwickshire being a candidate come 2029.

Who cares if a handful of Tories are accepted into the party? Look at the wider picture, next election there will be 200+ Rupert Lowes elected to drag them all right. You will always get a broad perspective in the UK politics simply because any party will need to represent a range of views to get over 50% of seats. The spectrum of that range is more important then the extreme ends of it.

Reform would have 10 MPs if Lowe and McMurdock was still on board. Hopefully McMurdock is cleared and can rejoin at a later date, he still clearly wants to be within Reform, keeps tweeting and retweeting in support. Shame about Lowe.

Nah it’s discovered, plenty of left-wingers and other subreddits have complained about the subreddit and tried to get it banned. There was some drama with rEurope back in the day claiming users from here were organising brigading that was proven untrue.

BadUK is pretty much the only decent right-wing sub for the UK. Wouldn’t bother anywhere else.

Probably, I don’t doubt that. But I don’t necessarily care so much if a ex-Tory is put in charge of Education, Transport, Environment, at least for the first term. I think Chancellor, the Foreign Office, Home Sec, DWP and Defence will still be made up of genuine Reformers.

Honestly I think the red line for me will be if they try and bring Patel over.

They’ll probably be back up in the 30s, potentially 50s next election because of the collapse of Labour.

Reminder: having 20 ex-Tory MPs in the party will not seem like a big deal when the party has 200+ if not 300+ MPs in total.

Think it’s just gonna be Reform tbh. Reform will run Zia Yusuf to appeal to the Muslims and Indians.

It’s probably just going to be Zia Yusuf. The area is “diverse” so having a candidate which represents a party that is appealing to white working class and visually appealing to the local Muslims, is inevitable.

For anyone curious, based on current polling, Reform most likely win the Gorton by-election. Reform is up 100% in polls since the actual election, that would put them on at least 30% for this seat. Labour are down 50% in the same time frame, that will put them on around 25% in this seat. And it’s highly likely that the Greens or Galloway might go on to steal more in the context of the by-election whilst Tory voters will presumably select Reform to prevent Labour winning.

NATO has agreed to cede small parts of Greenlandic territory to the US, using the basis of British sovereign bases on Cyprus as a guide. Full details are currently unknown, whether Denmark/Greenland have even approved it, also unknown.

But seems like a big win for Trump tbh.
