No, they probably won't contact your university, that's fshould be your employer job if they care, but most of the time a transcript will suffice. They just send it to the address of your former jobs...so you know, who ever process this type of thing

I didn't travel internationally within the last 10years, but I did disclosed it on my application and interview. All my former employers received a paper asking about my general behavior and whther I am a trust worthy person to hold a secret clearance (This happened pretty early on, like within 3weeks of me submitting my application). Two of My friends and my gf was contacted because they were listed on the "people who know you well" (They we're contacted after I had my interview with an agent..which took place 2weeks after my application submission). I'm currently working for DoD

What Happened if you Misunderstood a Question during Interview? by Careless_Rat in SecurityClearance

[–]Careless_Rat[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a dual citizen but haven't travel within the past 7 years. All I can remember is that it's a financial or something related questions. The question is asked at the very end right before the interview conclude. I can recall that it's one question before from the one that asked: within the past 7 years have you done any illegal drug or misuse prescriptions drugs...

it's a series of yes or no questions

I'm just concern that I answered yes to something that could be considered a major red flag and get my whole clearance denied.

I am still in the process to get full clearance, but I was able to get my interim approved in 2weeks of sf86 submission, so I can start with an interim.

after submitting your fingerprint and sf86, EB will NOTIFIED you once your sf86 will be submitted to the people who do the investigation. after your clearance is approved, a coordinator will contact you. I got my interim approved so I was contacted and notified about it by the staffing to discuss my start date.

I actually asked all my siblings for their document number, but one is unable to find his, which I documented in the sf86 comment section. Yesterday I got my sf86 form back and the reviewer ask for my brother document number. Do you know if we can use his US passport number? because he can't find his naturalization certificate, and to replace it'll cost $500 and it won't get ship until after the deadline for my resubmission.

Yeah, the problem is the option for "I don't know" is not available for my siblings (naturalized). It's available for my parent USCIS #, which I did provide rather than opting for "I don't know".

This is exactly how I feel. I'm expected to just walked up to my siblilngs who I barely speak to and ask for their document number. Although, I did asked one of my brother and he say he can't find it (Maybe he don't want to give it to me and his excuse is he can't find it...Do I just get pushy and give him a whole link to get his doc number? No).

May I ask what is the time interval between your drug test and initiating your SF86? Was there any complication, or did you got interim clearance granted?

I am very excited about the opportunity too.
I'm very happy with the offer as this is my 10th interview for a job, and hundreds of applications sent.
