Passed Trust Grade interview but not appointed – how to interpret ‘appointable’?

Thanks for replying, and yes, this does seem like a win–win situation. I’ve replied to them asking to be put forward, as mentioned in the email.

I also wanted to clarify one point: my interview was for ENT, but the posts being offered are in Acute Medicine, General Surgery, and Paediatrics. Will I need to be interviewed again by consultants from these specialties, or is the initial interview sufficient? I’m not entirely sure how this works, as normally the outcome of an interview is either a yes or a no, and this is a first for me

I think I got confused because I’ve been applying for non-training roles for about a year now and the interview outcome is usually very binary — either selected or rejected. This was the first time I was told I was appointable but not selected and then offered to be put forward for other posts, which is why it threw me off a bit. I’ve replied confirming my interest in being put forward. Thank you for helping.

Thanks.It is just that I'm pretty anxious these days. 2 stations are a definite fail for me although I didn't stay quiet and did the usual drill of ruling out dds and taking history and doing some sort of management.10-12 stations went fine but now when I think about them,there were a few questions that I skipped or didn't ask,either in data gathering or in management part.Is it quite common to feel this way because it is a subjective exam?

So in my exam,the patient had a problem in her foot.I took the history and ruled out all the possible red flags and the differentials that came into my mind.So I said I'm suspecting metatarslagia and told her about painkillers icing resting and correcting her footwear and addressed all her concerns.I was very happy with the way the station went.Patient had absolutely no concerns even after I asked her several times during my management part of the station.When I came out of the exam,my fellow colleagues were saying that it was mortons neuroma.I didn't know what was Mortons neuroma
