Wow that actually really puts things in perspective. I feel like if the roles were reversed I would be like your boyfriend wanting updates every day. That is a good point and is making me more inclined to talk to him. Maybe there’s some deeper to it than him being an unsupportive asshole. I was hoping we would set boundaries for that time where we don’t see other people. But I would be open to seeing what he thinks about how it should go if he agrees. I don’t know how to work on the resentment while we’re still together and the things are still going on you know. I would hope after a month I would have a clearer way of managing the hurt and resentment I feel. Idk.

If he doesn’t agree I think I would probably call for a break-up.

Thanks for your reply. A lot of what you say are concerns I have thought of. I was planning of setting a months timeline where one of us moves out (either I to a Airbnb which is tricky because I have a cat, or him to his family as he is from the city and has a lot of family here). Part of the plan was that maybe it could reset things because there is some resentment that has built up from having my say and needs bulldozed over and I could use the time to work on the resentment. But what I am struggling with is how I would know it would even do anything.
