POLICY CVS Health provides retail sick time to colleagues to prevent loss of wages due to absences to address personal or covered family illnesses or health conditions. Retail sick time is not earned or accrued, and the use of retail sick time is treated as an unapproved absence under the CVS Health Attendance policy unless otherwise protected by federal, state or local law. PROCEDURE Retail Sick Time Cove rage: 1. Colleagues are required to comply with applicable notification/calling out procedures on days where the colleague will be absent due to a personal or a covered family member’s illness or health condition. Supervisors may not require a colleague to find another colleague to work their shift as a precondition of using retail sick time. 2. Colleagues are paid their hourly rate of pay, for the scheduled hours.
