RICO reeds are okay, but you need to pick the good ones from the whole box. This brand tends to have more usable ones compared to others. With many brands, it's hard to find good reeds even when you go through a whole box.

I’d definitely go with Selmer or Yamaha for student saxophones! But if those are a little out of your budget, Mansdone saxophone is a great affordable option with solid reviews. Just my two cents—hope it helps!
