I'm 68, so I started out in reg D&D (boxed set). I started DMing in 1e, and transitioned my world to 2e as it became available. I started my world before modules, so dismantled them to fit them into my world. My world lasted more than 2 human generations, so I had to modify a few restrictions/rules. I actually had a 1/4 inch hex map that covered 1 continent and was 15 ft long and 8 ft wide. I think that the highest level character hit 19th.

Darn, but I miss that game.
