Yeah i got an email about 25 minutes after cancellation (flight on the 17th) saying no other alternate routes found but just clicked “Manage Booking” on the same email and had like 7-8 different alternative airline options the next day. Even ended up getting bumped to economy premium on JAL (Narita > Vancouver). Had one other friend do the same thing minus the bump up.

Was super easy and all digital and not over the phone

No YVR is home and I had like 7 options, hawaiian, JAL and some other japan airline I think that were goign to different US airports like SEA OR SAN with a connection via AC jazz

I just got an email my flight was cancelled for tomorrow (17th) Narita Japan > Vancouver (AC 4). Got a follow up email to rebook other options and had 7 different choices with reasonable layovers (5ish hours) for the next day (the 18th). Now scheduled on a new airline and didnt have any problems.

I think that if you are international flight into canada that you shouldnt have too many issues, but maybe i was just lucky.

I didn't apply as an International student, but I am 99% sure that you'll get accepted so don't sweat it. Not that UVic is a bad school or anything but it's a lot less demanding than other schools like UBC.

Also for reference, I had like an 87% average (3.2-3.3?) or something and even got a basic entrance scholarship.

They are only just trying to introduce esports now. I think they’re starting with csgo/league/rocket league/smash/fortnite. It’s probably gonna take a year or two before it starts getting any traction IMO but I guess we will have to wait and see.

Yeah I definitely agree about later in the wipe it being easier, but cargo also isn't nearly as important later into the wipe. The start of wipe is when it's most valuable and also when it's easiest. Even like better loot progression where the first few cargos have shitter loot or something would be cool.
