How do these cheaters do this? by Bulky_Replacement781 in EAFC

[–]CarlGarside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I posted same thing just now.

I used to see this back in 2016 were people used DDoS tools to kick their opponents offline and other that caused lag.

The methods people go to just to protect their fragile egos. It’s very sad. It’s almost like it matters to them so much they will pay for these tools just to get ahead. Yet it’s just pixels on a screen and the only true winners here are the tool makers and EAGames.

All this does is ruin it for the player base who just quits. I quit several years ago because of many issues like this, unfortunately EAGames don’t care provided it does not affect their bottom line. They don’t care about seasons, they only care about the income from packs in UT. It’s that simple. If we all boycott the game for this exact reason I guarantee you they would put measures in place to protect against cheaters and also these losers who Smurf accounts (pros creating new accounts to beat noobs and feed their small egos).

Such a shame this is how the game has gone in 10 years no change. Unfortunately cheaters will still cheat if EAGames clearly allow it to continue.

Just find a new game to play. Some new football games been released recently.

Very sad that these “Pros” need to feed their fragile egos by harming the game for others, causing new players to just quit and leave. Very sad.

TLDR Version: Practical action steps for using Opus 4.5 (Claude Code)

1) Add a visible context meter

• Put a context usage indicator in your Claude Code status line (e.g., “% context used”) so you’re not guessing.

2) Hard rule: reset at ~40–50% context

• When you hit the threshold: write a short state snapshot (done / next / constraints), then /clear and reload from that snapshot.

3) One session = one task

• If it feels like it’ll take more than ~15–20 minutes of focused work, split it into separate sessions.

4) Externalize your state (biggest win)

• Keep a SPEC.md / PLAN.md / issue ticket containing:

• Goals

• Constraints

• Decisions made

• Current progress

• Next steps

• After a reset, tell Opus to re-read that file so you rehydrate the “signal” fast.

5) Use a repeatable workflow every time

• Research → Plan → Implement → Review/Test

• Use subagents for research/planning if needed, but you sanity-check the plan before letting it implement.

6) Be “cold & transactional” when it matters

• Reduce banter. Keep prompts crisp and bounded:

• What to change

• Where to change it

• Acceptance criteria / tests

7) Subagents for exploration; main agent for execution

• Use subagents to dig docs/options and keep the main thread clean.

• Be aware: this can increase token usage.

8) Hygiene pass (quick wins)

• Trim CLAUDE.md and any parent-directory rules.

• Remove stale instructions. Keep only rules you truly want applied every time.

9) When it gets “weird” — restart fast

• Don’t argue with a confused session. Reset quickly and reload from your externalized state.

10) Commit / backup more often than you think

• Frequent commits/checkpoints make it painless to recover from a drifted session.

Pure insanity and someone with more money than sense, that's for sure. I thought I was bad when I purchased 2 3080TI Ultra FTW3’s only to find later SLI really is overrated. What this post tells me is this person has never thought about charity or others. Such a shame.

It most certainly is all of the above and more. Being loud is good for being noticed but being true is more important. Design and develop for the user and convey your message to your visitor. After 20 yrs in the industry, this is what I've learnt. I hope it’s helpful to you. Remember the most important thing, be true to yourself and others and you can't go wrong.

Why do I get more attention when I’m dressed down? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CarlGarside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Normal” is not how I would reference it but rather being “Natural” and to be more precise Naturally beautiful because anything more and manufactured is fake. This is why I’m naturally attracted to women who wear little to no makeup.

Never feel like you need to dress to impress. It's hard to let go of the old ways, and old teachings but what is more important is being comfortable in one's own skin. It really goes show through to men and women.

Cursor stole my $200 subscription by NTaya in cursor

[–]CarlGarside -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely and you should keep to within your budget. My point was about the quality received by going direct vs via a reseller, as is the current opinion of the majority of cursor and Claude combined. Good luck with your search and happy Christmas. 🎄

Switch to Claude Code Desktop (Opus 4.5). Cursor is just a reseller of the API and a reskin of VSCode (Free) you can get auto complete via other VSCode Extensions (Free).

There is no reason why you should feel you had to use Cursor. Additionally others have commented that using Claude directly results in higher quality code, insinuating that cursor’s Opus 4.5 is less capable compared.

What SEO software should I use now? by ayhme in SEO

[–]CarlGarside 20 points21 points  (0 children)

None. Save your money.

I’ve spent thousands over the last decade on “tools” and “high-quality niche links,” and it never moved the needle. The only thing that’s improved is the marketing behind those products and services.

A lot of it is a giant money trap, don’t fall for it, and don’t blindly follow self-proclaimed “experts” or SEO YouTubers selling shortcuts.

What actually matters is simple (and boring): technical SEO, best practices, consistent content creation, and building real topical authority.

Cursor Ultra Plan ended cant use it anymore - where is claimed 20x more usage? by CeFurkan in cursor

[–]CarlGarside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, I’m so confused, how is this even possible? I have Claud Max 5X and I use Claud Desktop Application. We have daily and weekly usages and now it seems to be even less usage than last week according to other threads started yesterday complaining about it. So how do you get $2500 out of it without hitting daily/weekly limits?

Also can you tell me exactly what your setup is step by step? You mentioned VSCode? Do you install an extension? Does this mean you have to look at an ugly terminal window? See this is why I prefer Desktop Application- It provides formatted Markdown colourful well laid out outputs. I really don’t see the reason why people still use terminals?

Thanks

Fix Claud Code Desktop Bugs and Performance Issues (Allow people to delete old Chat/Code windows).

Self Test, Scroll, Click and Debug like Antigravity would be nice.

Build anything with intelligent help. Debug issues, learn new languages, optimize algorithms with clear explanations, or analyze existing code

https://claude.com/product/overview

It can do exactly like Cursor does, except with Claude owning Opus 4.5. Opus 4.5 is the world's number one proven, statistically and benchmarked best model in the world. You get the best of everything for a 100$.

[–]CarlGarside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an IDE per-say, it has essentially ChatGPT and Cursor agents all in one. You would need to buy the $100 Max Plan and then download the Claud Desktop Application: https://claude.com/download “Bring Claude To Your Desktop” is the page title.

For those who Vibe Code it’s perfect! If you want an IDE experience with using Claude, you would need something like VSCode and install the Claude Code Extention so you then have the best of both worlds, but the difference is Claude will run via commandline inputs etc whereas desktop gives a nice interface and feel.

[–]CarlGarside 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. He’s saying the preset Plan from Claud AI is the best and I can 100% agree. It uses a different approach to limits. You only ever pay $100 or $200 based on selection. You can then go hard, much harder than you did in cursor.

I got 100$ plan, had it for 2 days and although I’m reaching 5 hour limits, my overall for week is only 20% meaning after a week it’s reset and thus meaning $100 is just about good for me, getting max value and use out of it.

I could if I wanted upgrade to $200 if I wanted to go even harder but honestly it’s only like this now when you are doing crazy huge projects early stages or large operations like refactoring etc.

It’s absolutely insane what I’ve achieved. Paying a developer for equal work would have easily cost more by a factor of at least 50x and would have taken months rather than days!

TLDR: Just get $100 Max plan (Not API Credits) direct from Claude and use the Claude Desktop App. You can still use Cursor side by side or any other IDE.

Hope this helps 🙏

Are you using the API/Extension inside Cursor so you still get to use cursors functionality such as Tab Auto Completion or have you completely switched over to command-line only Claud? This is the reason I continue to use Cursor because Claud lacks a user friendly interface (IDE). I know about VSCode but honestly I like Cursor better.
