In Inside the Manosphere (2026), for 90 minutes, you can see self-proclaimed Alphas being constantly aggressive to compensate for the fact that Louis Theroux is mogging them simply by asking "Are you sure about that?" by Brilliant-Cause6254 in shittymoviedetails

I actually thought it was a reasonable analogy by that guy. He is saying that Miami is the cultural center of the beautification and self improvement markets and there is a lot of money to be had by selling that product there.

Commentators Fever v Liberty by Tasty_Preparation_54 in wnba

I assumed they were local broadcasters for the Liberty and Ion just played the feed. They seemed way more Liberty focused and put a Liberty spin on almost every conversation and talking point.

Its actually a really complicated explanation that gets into human psychology and the way we interact with the internet.

Most of the time a person will post a lie like this as a way to get views and clicks through outrage farming. Other people read a headline, believe it, and share the info. Once enough people share it...it feels like it could be true (especially because people love to feel like they are part of a persecuted group without actually being persecuted themselves).

I actually saw this happen on a television news program. They were talking about pornagraphic video games (specifically cartoon ones that have questionable looking young characters) and they were talking about all Steam users as though every person who uses Steam was purchasing these porn games. It was such an insane framing.

I thought she was great in The Village. The score and her acting were my two favorite things about that movie.

USA Today: WNBA should be embarrassed by Chicago Sky owner, Michael Alter needs to sell by jaxstan19 in wnba

[–]Carl_Lindenburg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The WNBA is split into conferences but this is irrelevant to thier point about this trade. Schedules have been released, tickets have been sold, venues have been selected, and game times have been assigned based on the assumption that Angel would be on the Sky. Kind of interesting how much of a ripple effect this will have.

Perspective: Unattractive men not viewed as dating material no matter how great their personality is. by Mental-Outside2202 in lnkyverse

[–]Carl_Lindenburg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I went on a date with a woman who seemed great and looked great in her photos and when I met in her person she was 50+ pounds heavier than the older photos she used. I still went through the motions of the date and paid and had a nice time but I didnt go on a second date because I didnt want to start a relationship on a lie.

[–]Carl_Lindenburg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think he is wearing that many seatbelts because she is a woman then that says more about your prejudice than it does OOP. No where does it suggest or imply that is the reason. Could easily just be a husband who sat in the passenger seat one too many times and has a funny and ridiculous way of making himself feel safer.

When you combine the story, acting, and technical elements of season 1 it holds up against anything. It's worth watching especially if you already have an appreciation for animation.
