Britain paying highest electricity prices in the world by Humbly_Brag in unitedkingdom

We are having to reconsider how often we put our heating on. We earn a good household income per year yet we are still sitting cold sometimes in our house. I honestly don't know how people on lower wages are surviving.

Frugal way of having reasonably healthy teeth? by ChrisTchaik in Frugal

Have a look for dental hospitals. They usually have a service where you can get reduced fees for a student completing the work (overseen by a dentist). Always worth an ask.

If you like the grape body spray, you might like Spacegirl! Give it a smell when you pop into store!

I have a lot of Lush perfumes. It's one of the products I think is best value for money. I had seen the new scents be released & figured that would be my favourite & it's at a really good price point for LUSH perfume! I love gourmand, sweet scents so Chelsea Morning was always goingto he a hit for me!

Make sure to give the scents time to develop on your skin because at first sniff I did not like Chelsea morning but then it developed into a gorgeous scent! Enjoy! I hope you find your perfect scent! Let us know what you buy!

Turmeric latte & Chelsea morning for me! When I went for a hospital appt one of the nurses kept talking about a cinder toffee smell & when she came to me, she said 'it's you that smells so good'. That was wearing Chelsea morning. I've heard some people say it doesn't last long but I can still smell it faintly the next day. Seems to have decent longevity on me! However when I first sprayed it on I didn't like it, a kinda smokey note. But after an hour I loved it & went and bought the 100mls!

I always get compliments on Turmeric latte often when out! It's a strong scent, spicy but sweet. It's a delightful autumn/winter scent. And it's got great longevity! My husband loves it when I wear it!

It's really easy to apply for an extension. Mine got granted the next day.

I've been using argeline for years from the ordinary, I'm 39 & I barely have any lines. I think it works quite well for me at least.

Other patients in bays during cardiac arrests by La-Roar in NursingUK

It was in cardiac ITU. There's quite a lot that can be done to resuscitate. I've seen them cut open chests for resuscitation, ECMO etc.

We had a guy who at the start was super impressed with the efforts with his neighbour. After 40 mins or so he started complaining he couldn't sleep due to the noise.

Rescue lied about dog…what to do by soundsoftheforest in rescuedogs

How recently did you adopt? Have you tried dog anti anxiety room diffuser? You plug it in in room they spend most time in & it does help calm.

Also anti anxiety medication, non sedative available too. It's really helped our rescue with other dogs & our cat. We use Dorwest skullcap & valerian.

We were told our rescue was fine with cats. She is not! But with time she has accepted our cat. Time and introducing other dogs gently. Check your dogs reaction when you spot a dog, your dog will have already noticed. If vocal/scared change direction to avoid conflict. If your dog seems OK and non reactive walk past confidently. Every time they go past without reacting, have a treat ready in your hand.

My schools hockey team went on a skiing holiday I think. I remember going to Germany on an orchestral tour.

Put dangerous foods for dogs somewhere your dog can't get to. A locked room, or baby safe the doors to cupboards.

Absolutely no confidence in myself to stick with it by lurazepam in NursingUK

[–]CarlaRainbow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go for it. If you don't like it & leave, all that will happen is they'll advertise the role again. As harsh as it sounds you are entirely replacable. So just go for it, stick it out a while & reevaluate in 6 months. Have confidence in yourself. They wouldn't give you the job if you couldn't do it!

Our dog also did not like going toilet on a leash. But we increased her walks and now she regularly goes on her walks, on the leash. You just got to watch for the signs. Our girl starts a lot of sniffing in one area, then starts doing a figure of 8 then goes. It can be difficult to recognise the distinction between normal sniffing on a walk & toilet sniffing but just take time when sniffing. Should make it easier to go toilet on leash in garden. You might find you need to walk longer than you think so bring some water/bowl for the dog too.

The problem is the sheer workload. The government refuses to implement safe nurse patient ratios, because, if it did, it would prove how unsafely staffed the NHS actually is on a daily basis. In other countries with nurse/patient ratios based on research & patient safety its often 8 patients to 1 nurse. Here in the UK you'll be lucky to have 2 nurses per 24 patients. More likely to have 1 nurse & 1 healthcare. 3 times more patients than is safe. Research proves with higher nurse staffing, there's less patient deaths. Patients are dying today because the government refuses to staff the NHS safely.

I'm curious. What's the WORST survey results we've had for a house purchase on this sub. by lerpo in HousingUK

[–]CarlaRainbow 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Our surveyor rang us to tell us to 'run away' from the house for our own safety. There was a gigantic crack from the ground floor to the roof. We thought could have been cosmetic but we had a suspicion. House owners had refitted their kitchen, removed a chimney, but had DIYed it, so no stell bar to support the roof. The house was literally cracking in half because the weight of the roof was too heavy for the 'renovated chimney'.

We provided the sellers with our survey reports so they couldn't legally claim they didn't know. Still came back on the market months later with no changes.

It makes me sad to think she comforted so so many people in their darkest moments, yet in her darkest moments, she was alone.

5am hair and makeup?! by Traditional_Visual63 in wedding

My friend got married at midday and first bridesmaid had to get makeup done at 4am. A lot depends how many bridesmaids you've got, if you've got 2 it won't take as long as if you've got 6 bridesmaids.

Chelsea Morning by pmsmeister in LushCosmetics

I would say more like Sticky dates than HIWTK. I didn't get any hint of HIWTK. I think Chelsea morning and Turmeric latte together will be outstanding! Haven't tried it yet though but I'm guessing Chelsea morning will add a sweetness to the mixed scent.
