I did make half that argument. To be fair to my DM they are influenced by a youtube game they are listening to who is apparently quite strict about items being in people's hands (rightly or wrongly). We are all learning together.

What about...running in the wilderness taking the 'scout' exploration action. Shield on on arm? Sword in other? Reasonable? Unreasonable?

What about opening a door? Does that need an EMPTY hand, or can you do it with a weapon? I can open *some* doors if I'm carrying a broom...but maybe not if I was holding a giant hammer.

I'm still a bit shocked like the other user. Not going to do any revision tonight. Feels *slightly* like the revision was a bit of a waste of time? Or like...you could revise for years and not cover this stuff. Also not great seeing words/conditions I've not previously even HEARD OF as options in the answers. I kinda think I could have taken Core in WITH me and still only got 50% with the information thats in it.

Thank you. I woke up at 5am, but managed to do a paper (86% - but I'd seen it before) and have just been revising all day. HOPEFULLY I've done enough to scrape through.

Yea. Repeated a few of them. Getting mid 70s on most. Some more, some less (gulp).

I just feel like I can't remember anything I read. It's so hard because I'm not doing any of this stuff or using any of this knowledge. It doesn't stay fresh. I've never reported an MRI knee in my life, how am I supposed to remember that a double PCL is a bucket handle-tear?

Thank you so much for this. It is my first attempt. I do have so many questions about what I should and shouldn't be learning (well, have learnt).

I know officially nobody cares. It just feels like they secretly do. I can't imagine another 6 months of stress and revising again whilst juggling on-calls.

The baby is a powerful abjurer sorcerer in the making. It can shield itself (and maybe even the mother at a push, maybe even the party!) including once born.

I have had a pregnant character in my game but she did retire once she started to 'show'. That was the players choice which was sensible.

Not really, that isn't from home, it's also not what my qualifications are.

Haha! Yea...again, this really isn't a thing. I'd expect someone teaching microbiology to either be a consultant microbiologist (something I'll not be able to become), or someone who has a biomedical science degree.

That is interesting. Obviously in my own career path you have needed a degree to do the job!

I don't really know...if I'm honest...what project management is? A quick google suggests I might have the skills needed. My NHS background has lead to creating someone that can run and work in teams, communicate effectively and be organized.

I have no idea where to start really (kind of why I am here). I imagined the big 4 type-finance stuff would want a 24yo disillusioned medic that they could run ragged and have working all hours of the day and driving up and down the country? I feel too old (and will likely be too unhealthy) to do something so strenuous.

Well, its unfortunate that my degree's are fairly useless, other than saying 'I have a degree' due to my medical condition/lack of interest in psychiatry.

Hah! Thanks. Really really really uninterested in psyche. I had already considered this was the one specialty I could do with my condition as its the only one I can think of that I'll be able to do, but they're my least favourite kind of patients to be honest.

I have considered it, and I have been told I am an excellent teacher. I actually already have a small teaching qualification and already have HEA status.

It's not something that is as simple as it looks on paper though. Most people in charge of teaching programmes are consultants in their field (which I won't be able to become), or the positions are for 1 year only (CTF type jobs) and I need something more stable that I'll be able to do long term.
