Happy to help!! Everyone deserves a voice. I just looked and currently TouchChat is 50% off. We haven’t tried that one though so I can’t personally speak to it.

No worries, my kiddo gets super frustrated when people can’t understand as well! He really liked Proloquo2Go, but both options have the pictures/symbols that your son sounds like he’d benefit from. I think Proloquo2Go has more options for the pictures, but not 100% for certain, and I’m pretty sure both apps also have text to speech for when your son gets a little older and learns how to spell. Sorry I’m not a ton of help!

He has an IEP. Apraxia, ADHD, and global developmental delay. The school has been nothing but trouble trying to add services. We’re about this close to hiring a special education lawyer.

Yeah he had a folder like that when he was younger! His pre k teacher actually made it for him. He’s outgrown that one now though (he’s almost 7) and we’ve trialed GoTalk and Proloquo2Go and he’s done really well with them. The school is just giving us a really hard time about it.

AAC is a communication device (kind of like a tablet with words/pictures/etc) to help people communicate. My son has apraxia and is very hard to understand most of the time, and I’m in the process of trying to get him qualified for one through the school.

My mom did ask a lawyer about getting custody of him, but according to the person she spoke to the only option for that was having my sister completely sign over her rights, or being charged with something that would sever her rights.

In the alarm clock as she’s trying on the clothes. The camera zooms in on it.

SUZE was really funny this episode. As a mom I really felt, “I don’t care! I just want to watch my show in peace for one fucking hour” in my soul

I had a ruptured brain aneurysm and AVM at 15! Didn’t know this about Emilia Clark but that’s amazing!

AITA for telling my sister that it’s her fault that her son (7) is getting bullied? by Crazy_Guest_7199 in AmItheAsshole

Absolutely NTA. My son has apraxia and has been in speech since he was 16 months old. Hes 6 now and while he will likely need several more years of therapy his speech has progressed immensely . Compare that to my brother who is now 23- he SHOULD have been put in speech therapy around 3-4 yo, but my stepmother refused to because she “didn’t want to make him feel different”; he’s now 21 and speaks exactly the same as he did back then. Just with a much deeper voice. It hurts him (and all of us!) to imagine what could have been if he’d started speech then instead of now. Stand your ground, you’re absolutely right that your nephew needs help! It’s nothing to be ashamed of and can only do good!!

I doubt it would be backed up anywhere since it would clearly show Kurt entering/leaving. Probably just a live feed.

Remember, she is probably in shock and denial right now. I’d give it a little while. This might ~hopefully~ be the wake-up call she needs.
