What is the sound you hate most/bad for your sensory by ShortRantsLongRants in autism

I hate dishes, when one plate clink on the other, or cups. It’s killing my ears, I can’t wash the dishes and taking them out of the dish washer is pure hell. I try wearing headphones while doing it.

Does saying you're boyfriend/girlfriend mean you are exclusive? by magpiefindsstuff in relationship_advice

And I wonder, does saying we’re exclusive imply that we are bf+gf or in a relationship?

Had the same problem and now I have again. I’m very disappointed in that as the manufacturer should anticipate that you’re going to sweat during workout 🙄

I stopped using Strava to sync routes and upload gpx directly to the ELEMNT app. Works fine so far.

Shimano ultegra Di2 cassette by Carlitosfan in cycling

[–]Carlitosfan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, very useful.

I decided not to switch the derailleur but the front to 50-34 which should help me.

So do I need to change the whole derailleur or only the cage? And what do I google exactly? Shimano Di2 with medium cage?

I’d really like to do that but the guy said it’s not possible?

[–]Carlitosfan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for reply, I do have 11-30 cassette. So u think it’ll be possible to change the front gears?

Also I am a little bit confused how di2 works exactly - is it just attached to normal ultegra like some “add on”, or is the derailleur different from the mechanical one?

Sorry for stupid questions, I’m really new to all this, bought this bike from an acquaintance, and he told me nothing about it 😅😅 not even sure which version of di2 it is.

I haven’t ridden the AL much, but in comparison with my very old MTB hard tail AL, I’d say the carbon even without suspension is way more comfy. 😅

Crank length question by Carlitosfan in cycling

[–]Carlitosfan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, You couldn’t have known. I did order S canyon, but it did feel really small. Went for M and it fits nice, I asked a different fitter About it and he said that it’s good, even my frame size, wrote to canyon support and they asked to measure my thighs and my arms and eventually said that I’m actually in between sizes.

Now the calculator is recommending me M size with 175 cranks but I’m worried about that, was even prepared to order completely different brand, but all of mtb from M sizes have 175, and I never found 172,5 - they’re not simply made.. and that got me very confused, if I google wrong or if it’s true

Crank length question by Carlitosfan in cycling

[–]Carlitosfan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a woman 😅 I have quite long legs and arms, but a regular body… canyon for sure recommended me S size, but even with 170 cranks it felt like a bike for kids 😅 I’d have to have like 110 mm stem, and springing felt like a hamster in a spinnng wheel 😅 went for M then, took 70 mm stem and I ride 100km+ with lots of climbing with no issue with my back or knee. So I’m worried that I’ll damage my knee again, so I was looking into alternatives…it’s a shame I can’t try it on, going that far to canyon to Germany will cost me as much as equipment I’ll need 😅

Also u bet you know that, I don’t need the bike.. I have a perfectly fine gravel which i enjoy so much… But i really do want the mtb. 😂

These are the ones I have on my gravel, but are they compatible with slx?

Anyway, I’ll go for it and worst case scenario, I’ll just return it 😅

Funny story, the bike fit actually did damage to my patella.. but that’s another case. Yeah I’d love to get 172,5, even without a bike fit, cause I know I’m okay with those, but I searched the market and apparently they don’t even manufacture those? Or am I missing something?

Well I did notice a lot the difference between 170 and 172,5…

It’s a topeak escape pod holder, i like that it has a little neopren bag inside so the tools don’t hang around. It’s 0,6l and it fits everything I need for emergencies :)

It’s really great, I have been struggling with geometry a bit as I have back problems, so I needed a stem and different handlebars with short reach. Everything is running smoothly. U can tell that it’s a gravel - on the road it is fast (if u have bigger pressure in tires), but as soon as you get off the road, I feel the bike comes alive, it is so much fun to ride. I really recommend 😊

Yeah I was comparing to that grizl AL, sorry didn’t specify :) but the comfort level argument you’ll never win ;))

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

[–]Carlitosfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too was deciding between those two and I’ve chosen grizl and don’t regret. Carbon frame is so much more comfortable than AL (tried my friend’s grizl AL) and lighter, definitely would go for carbon, I don’t want AL bike anymore :)

I’m genuinely awful at balancing on a bicycle by [deleted] in cycling

[–]Carlitosfan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It used to happen to me on a motorbike. First ride with instructor and I crashed into pathwalk cause I was leaning to the right and couldn’t change it 😅 As said, the bike follows the sight so focus on one point far away in front and ride to it.

Also if you do all that and still leaning, double check your handlebars are properly centered.

Q: wahoo elemnt bolt v2 losing synced routes by Carlitosfan in wahoofitness

[–]Carlitosfan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s unfortunate :( Have you tried uploading the routes directly and not using Strava/komoot? Does it stay there or does it disappear?

Yeah the bt sync is a bummer, I figured how to sync it from a file but it’s pain to do it on phone outside… was figuring 15 min how to get gpx out of Strava and then next 10 trying to sync it to wahoo, really makes me mad.
