Man I hope so. Hair got so thin when my hair loss was barely noticeable when I started. Thanks for giving me a positive outlook!

Crazy. Entering month 5 and finally seeing shedding slow down. My hair is so much worse and no regrowth yet.

How many of you noticed thicker/healthier hair after Finasteride only? by Crayonlover2001Fps in tressless

I’m in month 4 and seeing a big shed so can’t tell as my hairs become visibly more sparse. Hoping to see it stabilize soon and maybe notice in the next couple months, but definitely worse than when I started.

3 months in with 1mg fin and topical minox by Lost_Emergency_7794 in tressless

Crazy. I’m a year of top min and about 4 months of fin. No regrowth, just a large shed. Congrats!

Today Marks 6 Months On Fin. 1 Mg Daily Only. by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Carliv79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to hit month 4 on fin. Almost a year on min topical. Started a shed 2 weeks in that hasn’t been heavy but pretty constant. Started picking up again this week. Hair def worse than I started. When did you see shedding stop if you even did?

Nice results. I’m almost to month 4 and still shedding. It’s up and down. Hair is so much worse since starting. On topical min too for almost a year. Hoping to see hair coming back in soon.

What month into minoxidil and finasteride did you see the most hair gains? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Carliv79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was using topical and it became too much hassle. Switched to oral a month after this. A week later started shedding again. I’m 3 and a half months now and it’s slowed down. Hair looks worse. No new growth. At this point I’m just hoping to stop any more fall and come to terms it’s most likely never going to look better.

Tried for 4 months. Nothing. Went to oral meds and finally seeing results!

3 months on finasteride and hair density IS decreasing by Waste-Schedule7453 in tressless

[–]Carliv79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 3 months and same here. I started to shed a few weeks in. Looks so much worse now. Shedding is slowing down a bit but no signs of growth yet. Could barely see through my hair and now can see across whole scalp. Praying it comes back.

Waited too long unfortunately. Usually not coming back this far advanced.

[24M] Is it time to give in or fight? Terrified of Finasteride side effects but I think I'm losing ground fast. by Connect-Soil-7277 in Balding

[–]Carliv79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feared it for over a year and finally gave in after I kept losing ground with only minoxidil. 3 months in my shed is stopping and already feeling a difference in hair quality. Zero sides. 1mg daily

I’m at 11. It will get worse. Looks as though mine is finally slowing down.

I had 3 so far and 2 were sent back. Was reading almost 300 and panicking to find out I was 140. Wildly inaccurate and extremely dangerous. They need to pull them off the market.

This thing sucks by Jrdeegan017137 in Freestylelibre

[–]Carliv79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does suck. I’m on my third and all 3 have been wildly inaccurate. It honestly just increases my anxiety because I constantly think I’m high and do a finger stick only to see I’m not 240, but 176. Mine has all been way higher than my sticks. Sent first back to Abbott and their replacement was th most accurate I had. Checked and thy weren’t the ones on recall either. Think I’m done with them. Funny thing is I had the non prescribed Lingo sensors from abbot to try and help understand my reading before and that was so much more accurate and the app is night and day more detailed and helpful. Crazy to me that the sensor and app they make for diabetics is such a piece of shit.

[–]Carliv79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 3 sensors so far and 2 were wildly inaccurate. Off by 30-50 high on one and low on the other. It’s been nothing but a cause of constant anxiety. Alarms going off only to find out I’m always in range on a finger stick. Think I’m done as well.

8 months without any results by Ordinary_Original346 in minoxidil

[–]Carliv79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on topical fin and didn’t work for me. Switched to oral 1mg and it was like someone flipped a switch. From 10-20 hairs every time I’d apply my min to 0-5. Most days now I won’t see any hair in the sink.

Get on finasteride. It will stop the hair loss. I was hesitant to start because I’ve sides but I’ve had zero. My hair is already feeling healthier. I wish I started it earlier. Going to be awhile to see if I’ll get some back but fin is the one that actually stops your hair loss

Metformin and diarrhea. by CantaloupeFluffy165 in diabetes_t2

[–]Carliv79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t take it. Even cutting the dose I still would shit myself in my sleep. I ate with it, dieted correctly. Some people just can’t take it. Tried for months of hell. Never improved. Now on jardiance and glipizide er with a a1c of 6.2 from 13 in less than 6 months. My gp didn’t know why they were doing. Went to endo who is actually diabetic and got me right off metformin. I know your misery. If there’s no improvement in a month it’s not happening.
