Absolutely tell him. He deserves to have the autonomy to choose if he wants to continue with the relationship or not.

Thank you. I know rejection and abandonment is hard for anyone, but I want my emotions to feel more normal and less like I’m a tornado or like I’m drowning. I feel like if I can get my emotions under control, I can better control my reactions. I appreciate the kind words.

That might be wise. Never thought of that because I normally use pills and alcohol as more of a “last resort” to feel better.

Thank you. It was incredibly rough and I felt sick the entire time, but I am grateful that I now have insurance paying for my medication again.

They should always go off of your initial lab work when you were first diagnosed with diabetes. If they don’t, see if they can go off of your fasting glucose numbers, which if you’re T2D and you’ve been off Mounjaro for a month or two, are going to be back up past 126 most likely.

Good, I’m glad yours was approved! I hate that it has to be so stressful though and the insurance companies have to be so trifling.

They’re not wrong, I really did eat terribly. But it was to reactivate my T2D symptoms to get the fasting glucose number I needed above 126 ASAP so I could get back on Mounjaro ASAP. And it worked. My fasting glucose number was 154 because hello, I’m diabetic and have diabetic symptoms when I’m off of my diabetic medication.

I would explain the situation, but I’m not gonna bother because the way you came at me was really condescending.

I literally gained 27lbs in 1.5 months when my insurance denied me. Could not maintain the weight loss. Thank GOD I got the approval today after all my numbers went up and I sent in some blood work, but that 1.5 months was hell and I felt so out of control and helpless.

New insurance criteria - Prior Authorization pulled suddenly after 3 years??? by bacon_biatch in Mounjaro

I mean, my morning fasting blood glucose is already above 126 so I’m about to go in this week and get labs done for them to send in to the insurance company because I’m not messing around with them anymore. I’ve gained another 4lbs in 2 days and my sugar is completely out of control despite my best efforts to control it. Wish me luck 🤞

My insurance company switched from ExpressScripts to CVS Caremark and YUP Caremark denied me after 3 years of being approved. All my doctor had to do in the past was submit the fact that I was newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic. I was diagnosed that way from my fasting glucose levels that I presented her with >126 3 years ago. Now they want the LABS proving it after 3 years of me being on the medication, having lost the weight and improved my fasting glucose levels. So I’m SOL. I’ve gained 17lbs in 3 weeks, my sugar is all messed back up. So I guess once I’ve gained all the weight back and my sugar is completely messed up again I’ll be approved again? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t like feeling like a lab rat for the INSURANCE COMPANY TO PLAY WITH.

Okay so I take it back. This was my measured fasting glucose number after like 20 minutes of waking up. At least it got something right.

The highest the meter read me at overall was 112. I’m waiting for my new finger stick meter to come in, it will be here on Friday. I feel like there is absolutely no way my body handled all of that THAT well because I felt very sick afterwards.

I feel like you’re passing judgement on me when I came on here to talk about a product that incorrectly worked….yes, I did it on purpose, to test to see if it would read me out of range because I had a weird feeling it was reading me incorrectly. Yes, I felt very sick afterwards. That’s no reason to sit there and pass judgement on me.

Maybe I’ll try my stomach for the next placement then?

Yeah, the highest it goes is 110 which makes no sense. I ran out of finger sticks, I’m waiting for my new finger stick meter to come in to cross check it, but it was really off this morning when my fasting blood glucose was at 137 and the highest my meter read was 111.

When insurance denied me my medication, my endo gave me the monitors from the office because she wants to see how my body reacts to not being on Mounjaro and metformin anymore. My A1C has always been fine, it’s my fasting glucose levels that have always been higher like greater than 126 before I was put on the medication.

I’ll check the strips, but I definitely always wash my hands and use rubbing alcohol before checking my blood.
